Independent Water Sensor Alarm

I’ve never been so happy for an impulse buy! Rain in the middle of winter, the ground not frozen yet, the sump pump filled and a joint had come in done, water spraying everywhere. Had it not been for this little water leak detector, it could have been -days before we went to that area of the house and the damage we would have found!! I think that the water was detected almost immediately! I heard the beeping and investigated!! Now, the alarm could have been louder as I heard it one floor above and it is not that alarming! The alarm was similar to a low battery in a smoke detector. Very easy to use, turn on and set on the floor next to the sump pump. Good gadget!

I’ve had a 60-gallon reef tank for almost two decades, which means I regularly mix fresh saltwater very other week. I always set a timer to warn me when my salt mix bucket is about to overflow, but sometimes the water fills at an unpredictable rate, and I’ve ended up with mini floods in my kitchen more than once. So, I finally decided to get a water leak sensor. At first, I looked into smart sensors that connect with Apple Home or Samsung SmartThings, but they were pricey ($35+), had non-replaceable batteries, low audio alarm, and had frequent complaints about disconnecting from the system. Instead, I went with a simple, battery-powered water sensor, and I’m so glad I did! This device is not only loud but also incredibly accurate. The moment even a tiny part of its foot touches water, it sets off a piercing alarm (and I mean LOUD. I can hear it from several rooms away). Best of all, it’s a straightforward device with replaceable batteries, and I can even use rechargeables. No complaints whatsoever, and for this price, I can’t recommend it enough!

Seems well made and works. I tested it in a dish of water. Alarm is very loud. This product will help prevent prolonged damage from a water leak. I bought 2 and put one by washer and the other by the hot water heater

The detector works great, and the alarm is plenty loud. My only gripe with it is that it’s nearly impossible to open if you need to get to the battery. Because of this, I left the cover slightly off in case the battery starts getting low and needs replacement.

I bought these after a water leak in my hot water heater and placed one under every sink, near washer and hot water heater and what do you know one of them went off and sure enough we had a pipe starting to drip water under my sink and we caught it instantly, so well worth the buy,

Update: Oct 2025. --- It's been over 2 years since I put one under the kitchen sink. Yesterday I come home to the alarm just blaring. Took a minute to figure out what that noise was since I bought this thing so long ago that I totally forgot about it. Well, turns out my kitchen faucet had developed a leak and thanks to this little detector I was able to clean up the little puddle of water and fix the faucet before it had a chance to ruin my cabinet and kitchen. Without this alarm, I'm sure the water would have been dripping for days to weeks causing expensive damage before I figured out what was happing. This little $8 alarm saved me hundred of dollars with an early warning. I just bought a bunch more to put under every bathroom faucet in the house. The cheap AAA batteries that came with it lasted 2 years. That alone is amazing. --- end of update --- I did a test run. They're loud and they work. I tested one in the attic and we could hear the ear piercing alarm through the house. Here's to hoping the batteries will last at least 6 months in standby mode.

One of them seem to be working just fine. The other one was only about half as loud as the other one . So I don’t know what that means . That’s why I’m only giving it a score of three was the product seems to work great at sensing water. Just a sound quality wasn’t as good on the one thanks.

Just arrived. I tested it, it does sound when water touches its sensors. Very loud alarm for my apartment, but not sure if it is loud enough if you place it in an American-style house basement. Edit: It has since consistently worked for my leak. Loud alarm every time, good product

I held off on reviewing this as I hadn’t had a water leak yet. Our washer has leaked twice in the past year which was what prompted me to purchase this alarm. Yesterday the alarm sounded when I had a load of laundry in, and sure enough it was leaking water. I was very happy to be able to address the problem quickly without my basement flooding or the water causing any damage.

Fait très bien le travail mais n’est pas connecté au wifi ou à quoi que ce soit donc il faut être sur place pour entendre sonner. La sonnerie est très forte c’est un avantage

This product works like it should.... Remember to test every 6 months by placing this device in a shallow kitchen plate with some water in it....
