Outstanding Saw or So I thought
I am a hobby metal fabricator and welder. I make yard art, wall art, fence art, and wood and metal furniture. I had used an Evolution metal cutting chop saw that was loud and a bit scary for nearly five years. I ordered the HEMSaw NG120XL on February 9, 2023 at a cost of over $2000. and it took nearly three weeks to arrive. I picked this saw because of its size, its less violent and quieter cutting, and the distributor and support was located in Oklahoma, a state I dearly like and lived in for years. After 17 months of enjoyable use the saw stopped working. I called Tech Support spoke to a young man who walked me through various scenarios and finally diagnosed the problem (or so I hope). It seems that the brushes were bad. He asked me to send him my name, address, saw S/N and Model, which I did. Four days later the brushes arrived—the wrong ones. Called back, “Oh, sorry we’ll send the right ones.” Now waiting. Finally got the brushes and its back up and running for now. For the money and my light use of this saw this is not a good deal.
