AG Care Liquid Effects Extra-Firm Styling Lotion, 8 Fl Oz

I purchased this based on seeing a curly hair stylist on IG using it on big coarse curly haired girls like myself and it works really well. Not sticky or crunchy, just a really good natural controlled hold. Glad I tried it, would buy again.

Amazing product. I love it! I wish it came bigger for the price but it works very well. It works for all hair types! I have fine hair wavy hair and my kids are mixed so they have soft/coarse curly hair and it works for all of us! Lightly scented but it smells good. I would say it’s a light water based gel that is very workable! A little really does a lot. I’m not a big fan of the price but… the product is great

If you have coarse/dry wavy/curly hair this is a must try! The product is more like a thin gel- not a lotion. I only used it one time and my hair feels and looks amazing! I have been thinking about buying this for some time and my only regret is not trying it sooner. My hair is on the 2b/2c side, coarser and I bleach regularly (thanks to my genetics of gray hair). This product is thin and it has so much slip it just covers your hair without being thick and sticky. I have tried literally almost everything out there and this by far has taken the number one spot. Treluxe, Curlsmith, Inahsi, Mixed Chicks...Harry's, LUS, Curl Talk, Miss Jessies, Carol's Daughter, Ouidad, Jessicurl, Cantu, Mielle, Shea Moisture, all the drug store/walmart brands.. the list goes on-SO MUCH $$$. I am also part of Curls Monthly and have tried almost every product I've received over the past 8 months. I didn't take a pic today but man I should have. It has a very light scent and I am sensitive to smells and my skin is very sensitive and this does not bother me @ all. If you are in the fence TRY it. Will update regarding longevity and include pics. Holy Grail contender definitely 😍

The only product line my curly-haired daughter uses. Works great and worth the price! This is our third time purchasing. The mousse is fantastic for curly girls too.

Great product! The consistency is 10/10. It really helps with the frizz. I recommend to everyone.

I think this is a great product, but its very light weight. So if you know your hairs porosity and you know that it flourishes more with thicker styling lotions (like mine), you should probably skip this. Although i would like for them to come up with a creamer & thicker version of this i would love to try it out. Does leave a great shine and does stop frizz but the hold is not there for me (even when paired with stronger gels) could just be my hair type tho…

This stuff is good! My hair does not have any frizz using this. I am 72 and I sure wish I had found this when I was younger! My long curly hair gets lots of compliments now! Go grey girls- it’s fun!

Don't be fooled by the name of this product. It is one of the best strong hold gels out there and is one of my absolute favourites. It applies smoothly, and can be applied after brush styling or brushed through using a styling brush. Once applied, this gel keeps my curls defined in high humidity or even in snowy winter weather. It has become a staple styling product and works well with the AG Fast Food Leave-In and the AG Recoil Curl Activator.

Still my favourite gel I've ever used - really nice, smooth consistency that adds great hold and definition to my curls. Easy to scrunch out, leaving hair soft and shiny with no sticky residue or feeling of buildup. Usually I can just re-activate it with a little water each day to refresh my hair.

This is a nice strong-hold gel! My hair is wavy/curly and tends to lose its volume and curl without help. I use this on wet hair, rake it through all over and then use a towel to scrunch and squeeze the excess water. I let my hair air dry and then scrunch out the crunch, and i love the results.
