A great game with 100+ hours of content. If you enjoy JRPGs it's highly recommended. The additional content of Royal is a worth addition to the base game.

I'm with the critics and fans with P5R, the game is a JRPG classic and perfect on the Switch to play portable. However it isn't for everyone, basically being one third old school JRPG dungeon crawler/Pokemon style collect'em up, one third 'time and stat management life simulator' and one third visual novel. The way the first two aspects link together creates a very addictive gameplay loop be warned. It's all held together by a remarkable Young Adult pitched story (think Inception meets Harry Potter in Japan) with clever ties into real world events and incredible audio/visual presentation. Oh man I wanna move to Tokyo and fight rotten adults....

Although formula is exactly the same, I'm liking this one much better than the forth one (P4G) it tackles darker subject matter and has more bad language so feels more mature. Its got incredible stylish presentation and runs flawless on the switch. It's a must buy for JRPG fans. At £34.99 it's a bargain. They could have easily whacked a £49.99 on this and it still would have been worth it. This is an edit a few days later, after spending more time with the game.......I've now become obsessed with it, story has me hooked right in. Its an incredible game.

I bought Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch because it was one of my most wanted ports. I gotta say, I’ve played it for 10 hours within under 48 hours of obtaining the game & I’ve had a hard time putting the game down thanks to the likable characters & engaging story. The only issue I have is that since I have big hands, the blood circulates in my hands over time. But that’s not to do with the game itself, I bought a grip case which should be on the way soon so I have a more comfortable experience Overall, Great Game so far

I already know P5R is an amazing JRPG but just seems like my luck that the copy I received was damaged so I am awaiting a replacement before I give a proper review Not sure who the fault lies on as it was damaged through the safety wrap and fell apart completely when I removed the wrap to try and access the game Update: new copy of the game delivered, loved the game as much as I enjoyed Persona 5 on PS3, the changes made make the game so much more enjoyable to play and the added storylines are engaging and beneficial to delve into for combat reasons

J'attendais Persona 5 Royal sur Switch depuis des années, et je ne suis pas déçu. Le portage est techniquement très solide : les temps de chargement sont rapides, les graphismes conservent leur style unique et percutant, et le jeu tourne de manière fluide, que ce soit en mode docké ou portable. L’univers est toujours aussi prenant, entre vie lycéenne à Tokyo, exploration des "Palaces" et relations sociales riches. L’écriture est soignée, les personnages sont attachants et les musiques restent parmi les meilleures que j’aie entendues dans un jeu. La version Royal ajoute énormément de contenu par rapport à l’original, prolongeant l’expérience avec de nouveaux personnages, événements et une fin alternative. Le seul petit bémol pourrait être la taille du texte en mode portable, parfois un peu petite, mais rien de bloquant. Si vous aimez les RPG profonds, stylés et narrativement ambitieux, c’est un incontournable — et le fait de pouvoir y jouer partout est un vrai plus !
