3-in-1 Guitar String Winder & Cutter, Fast Restring Tool

Great multi tool for guitarists. Works for electric and acoustic guitars. The bridge pin puller is very handy for safely removing the bridge pins without damaging them. The winder and string cutter makes string changing fast and easy. Great combo tool at this price.

I'd seen a number of YouTubers recommend these tools. I don't change my uke strings even half as often as I should, and partly avoided it because it was such a pain. So with my strings losing their ability to hold tune anymore and in danger of breaking I figured I'd go ahead and make it easier on myself. This was a HUGE advantage for changing the strings on my Kala concert travel uke. I don't play guitar, and some reviews mentioned problems with the metal strings, but the snips worked great with the Nylguts I was putting on (again). These have a permanent home in my bag now. I'm sure that I'll be changing my strings much closer to the frequency I should, now, and I'll definitely get another set if these ever actually die on me.

The winder works great. I did not use the cutter. The pin puller is too week and too wide. Some of my pin would not come up with the pin pullers and I had to use a different tool.

Bought this to set up a Cort Eath-70 and I am happy to say that it works very well! The peg remover works flawlessly and the string cutter only works at a specific angle which helps so you don't get yourself caught in it. The winding tool for the tunning pegs works good too however, it may scratch the pegs, and it sometimes hits other pegs. This is not a major problem, but should be noted. Another small problem is it's construction; its cheap build caused the plastic handle to fall off. It was an easy fix and not a problem in the end, but another minor problem to note. Overall, I would highly recommend for cheaper guitars. I wouldn't use it for a guitar worth upwards of $800.

Although doesn't look or feel too sturdy, the tool does the job quite well; it cuts strings very easy with minimum effort. The grip could definitely be improved as it is feels thin and a bit toyish. Probably not perfectly suited for a repair/luthier shop, but very good for professional/casual player. If it keeps cutting as does new, it's definitely a good buy - time will tell.

Very simple but effective tool. I used it for six string and 12 string acoustic guitars and didn't encounter any of the issues other reviewers noted. It really is made for acoustic's though, being that it has a peg puller and all. It's not a wonder tool, it's just a straight up handy item for dealing with guitar restringing. Peg pulling: 5/5 works great! String Winding: 5/5 isn't the fastest but is far superior to doing it by hand. String cutting: 5/5 cuts excess strings of all gauges fine. I used it successfully from 8 gauge to 47 gauge.
