Counting down to Christmas with a daily sugary treat brings back a nostalgic feeling from childhood. This sweet-filled calendar features some classic favourites – Refresher Bars, Love Hearts, Parma Violets – you get the idea. My eldest daughter liked the retro theme, while my youngest (she's only three, so no lollipops for her!) enjoyed the colourful packaging and loved the activities printed on the back. The sweets themselves are quite small, which is likely for the best, but don’t expect anything too fancy. They’re classic tangy and fizzy treats, just as you might recall. The box arrived in good condition and looked presentable as a gift, although the design was a bit bold for my taste – but then again, it’s not exactly targeted at dads! My only real criticism? It could do with a touch more variety, as it focuses heavily on certain types of sweets. Even so, it’s an enjoyable way to count down the days of December for both children and adults.

Disgusting, nearly £17 pounds for 1penny sweets behind each door ! Very very unsatisfying for the price , absolutely awful

The pieces of candy are the size one would get in the sweet tubs, if not smaller. It’s a purchased advent calendar - just something to open. Don’t expect much.
