Automotive Oscilloscopes: Waveform Analysis

Great book, lots of information 👍

I have an oscilloscope and wanted to get the most out of it so bought this book, I had a complicated repair to carry out on a high value car so getting it wrong was not an option, I needed to understand how to connect the cables to the item I was testing but more importantly how to set up the scope and read the findings, this book proved to be invaluable and although the car has now been repaired I find myself picking up this book and reading it some more. I have been in the motor trade all my life and this book has allowed me to learn about something that some might consider to be an area to avoid. I highly recommend this book if you are contemplating using an oscilloscope.

Good book to buy to learn more about waveforms on cars. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more.

Required reading for any automotive diagnostic technician - oscilloscope diagnostics are the way forward

Excellent book for beginners or the experienced scope operator. Well illustrated and laid out in an easy to understand manner. Doesn't waste time with irrelevant jargon. As with all Graham Stoakes books it is highly recommended.

Fantastic material. Known Graham for 20 years. This man has a wealth of knowledge. It has been a privilege to be taught by him by him. Any negative comments are by people that have completely missed the point.

As the title says its an illustrated manual for what to expect when reading oscilloscope waveforms during a diagnostic session. Not enough technicians are using oscilloscopes unfortunately due to lack of good information. This book is a must for your referencing library both at home and in the workshop.

Very informative book to have, you will not waste your money from spending with it

This book has good waveform analysis, as it says, does not give information on where to probe on sensors. However it does give breakdown on different parts of waveform and their meanings. This extra knowledge is good for diagnosis on automotive sensors.

Excellent book. Explains a majority of automotive wave forms. If you are interested in learning about automotive Oscilloscopes this book is a great place to start.
