Fantastic! Do not give up on breastfeeding before trying these Medela nipple shields
I could not recommend this enough. When I had my baby boy he latched easily on my left side but not on the right. I had bleeding and cracked nipples for about a week before trying a nipple shield from a different brand.I was about to quit on breastfeeding as it was too painful even using a nipple cream. It was a miracle, it felt so comfortable. I then tried these Medela shields for the first time and I have beeb using them since, there is less waste and they stick better than other brands.I know we're supposed to use nipple shields temporarily, but neither my baby nor I can give this up. He will be three months old soon, and thanks to this I now believe I'll be able to breastfeed for as long as we would like. The health visitors have advised me to try to breastfeed without it and to be honest I have tried and my baby can still latch without it, but I honestly don't feel like it's reducing my milk supply or causing any harm as my baby is gaining the perfect amount of weight. It's our little secret cheat :)I use a cold water steriliser to sterilise them once a day and then keep them in their box during all day and night just using a bit of warm water and washing up liquid to clean them after feeds. I was sterilising my first pair after every feed and they only lasted a week. I've been using my second pair for almost two months and just felt the need to replace then recently. The size is quite important, my first pair was a medium and I then switched to small and although there's not much difference when you look at it, it feels like it sticks better.

Pure awesomeness, worth every penny
My partner had hard time in the beginning of breastfeeding. Child was not latching correctly from day one,it took her few days to learn and she caused a bit of damage to the nipples which caused an nfection and possibly metastitis. We had to use antibiotics and pain killers... We really didn't want to use formula but breast feeding was extremely painful (my partner said that labour was easier and less painful) and caused a lot of tears every time she was feeding. Needless to say this caused too much unnecessary stress for her and baby. Because baby was feeding every two hours her nipples wouldn't heal either so pain was not going away. She was bleeding from nipples and eventually one nipple got clogged up and she wasn't able to extract milk but milk was building up. I found these after trying all usual recommended things by everybody(ie. Creams, latching experts pain killers, breast pump for feeding from the bottle . (God people are annoying and they all think they are experts! She was in a lot of pain and everybody thought they knew better. Imagine having nipple pierced every two hours for weeks) anyway. I ordered this inexpensive (compared to all methods mentioned above) toy, thinking its just gonna be another money wasted. God how wrong I was. Needless to say, it allowed her to continue to breast feed, her nipples healed and our little one even liked it. We clean them and sterilise them after each feed so we have ordered two more packages to do the cleaning just twice a day. You get two per pack and it's important to get correct nipple size. They can be microwave sterilised or boiled. They also come with storage box so you can take them with you. They are worth every penny just remember to get the right size!

Simple easy to use 🎂🏊
Recommended this for use with my little girl due to struggling with establishing breast feeding by the hospital nurses and I was really pleased with how well it worked and she could actually get milk from me. They are easy to use and stick quite well, if they ever started to peel off mid feed u just used to wet my finger and stick back down. The only downside is having to sterilise in a separate bag in the microwave (as I don't have a bottle steriliser) so needed to also purchase those bags compare this to the mam ones where box is also a steriliser so much handier to use, and the only reason for dropping the final 5th star.

Life saver!
I started using these nipple shields over three months ago as my daughter had difficulties latching on properly without them. They are brilliant, just the right size from the start when her mouth was tiny (she was born a little bit early) and very comfortable.Every so often I've tried to wean her off from them just to save the hassle when trying to get one in place while feeding out and about but either she hasn't been latching on properly or I have been sore the following day.. First might actually be re-enforced by using the shield in the first place and second by not being very careful that she's latched on absolutely correctly... But I'm happy as she's feeding very well with these shields and I now think that I don't mind if I need to use one until I stop breasfeeding her..They're very easy to carry around because of the handy box that comes with them, quick to wash after use wherever you are and they don't leak very much at all.I'm happy when my baby's happy and well fed and that's what counts!

I will recommend use of this shields as temporary unless otherwise
I think the nipple part of the shield is to hard, it needs to be thinner. I will recommend use of this shields as temporary unless otherwise. I personally think from my experience the baby will stay on the breast longer than without the shields. Cause baby will work harder to suck the milk out. Also there is no direct situmulation of the nipple although enough for a let down. As the baby stays on the breasts to long, he may fall asleep without draning the milk which as a result will cause milk supply to drop. This is what happen to me as I continued to use it for 6 weeks cause of Raynaud's in my nipples. When I weaned my baby off them, I saw his breastfeeding behaviour change dramatically. He was able to come off the breast in 15 20 min (nipple of shield is so big, baby can't naturally come of them) He was able to drain the breasts very efficiently compare to him been on the breast 3 4 hours before. If you are planning to use the shield long term but decide to wean your baby off one day, keep in mind he might resist your nipple and may find it hard to lach on. I was lucky my baby only took couple of days, but it was stressful for both of us. Then I had to re learn his breastfeeding patterns all over again. Shields are good if you have no other chose. If you have abandoned milk supply and a strong sucker your baby will gain weight but watch out if your breasts are been drained. But if you have okay milk supply and your baby is a rester at the breast he may gain weight slowy once again your milk supply might drop and he might not be able to drain milk due to him feeling tired on the breast as he will be working harder for the milk.

Game changer.
for my newborn and me is easy to use, size is perfect, she is getting enough milk and I have much less pain. Don’t think twice if your nipples are exhausted, just order it.

Lifesaver for breastfeeding journey
I dont normally write reviews however I had a baby a few days ago and from day 1 I had bad cracks on one side and was finding feeding very painful. I was contemplating giving up but really didn’t want to. It was becoming more exhausting and painful with every feed and I was beginning to dread every time the baby cried. These have not only helped me to be pain free but they also have helped with latching. The baby now only takes seconds to latch instead of the dreaded 10 minutes or so it was taking to latch before. They genuinely have transformed my breastfeeding experience! Would recommend to anyone as a must have if plan to breastfeed.

Top- Produkt!5 Sterne!
