Sony MDR-ZX110 Wired Overhead Headphones, Neodymium Dynamic Drivers, Swivel Fold Design - Black

I bought these as a disposable pair for my mother in law who was in hospital so she could listen the the hospital TV/radio as the supplied earbuds were awful. My own pair are BOSE Quiet Comfort Ultra and while these are not in the same league, for £15 they are surprisingly good and easy to listen to. No sound cancelling but in a relatively quite area this doesn't matter. No noticeable sound leakage at moderate volumes. For the money - definitely worth five stars.

I bought these specifically for travel, mainly for using on a plane, and I’ve been really impressed with them. They’re very straightforward to use – just plug in and go, which I actually prefer over wireless headphones as there’s no need to worry about charging or connection issues. I did need a small adaptor for my phone/iPad as they don’t have a headphone jack, but that was easy to get and worked perfectly. The sound quality is excellent for the price, and they fit comfortably and snugly over the ears. They also do a great job of blocking out background noise – I often had to pause my music to hear people speaking to me. Another big plus is that they fold down nicely, making them ideal for travel bags or hand luggage without taking up much space. Honestly, these have been so reliable that I wish I’d bought a second pair. After trying wireless alternatives that needed charging and were a bit fiddly, it really highlighted how convenient and dependable these are. Definitely recommend, especially for travel or everyday use.

5 stars, based on the under £15 price. They are nice simple headphones, with no Bluetooth, volume controls or microphone. I had a set of JVC headphones and they probably lasted over 10 years, easily. Felt solid, and had metal in them ! Since then I've tried various brands, including Philips and unknowns. Nothing premium. All made of plastic. None have lasted more than a couple of years before something breaks beyond repair. These Sony headphones sound good, are lightweight and are comfortable to wear, but are all plastic (aside from the wire and magnets!) The attached cable (1.25m) is a good length for plugging into a phone or anything that you would be holding, or a very close laptop, but is shorter than others I've had. It is also a bit thin, which makes it light but perhaps not long-lasting. It is however a nice material: plastic, not rubber (so doesnt stick to things), and not fabric (so doesn't rustle wherever you move it). The other quirk is that the jack plug is 90 degrees, not straight. Again, that would be good for some people, but for me it's a slight pain. I use them for watching films with my TV across the room, so i plug into an extension cable, and a straight plug is better. My mistake, but i prefer over-EAR types and I misread "overhead". These sit ON your ears, not around them, so you don't get as much isolation, but not as bad as i was expecting. It also means they're more comfortable, lighter and less "sweaty". In all, they're nice and sound good. Just those points to hear in mind.

Good quality sound for the price , however the band could do with some rubber strip or something to help grip to the head a little better as I like to head bang sometimes, the foldable design is a nice feature

Lasted five years, but the ear pads disintegrated. Bought a new pair anyway because the sound was good at the price.
