Sikaflex 291i White Multi-Functional Adhesive sealant for Marine Application - White

Problem. Modern close couple WC, syphon is glued in place, within cistern, but starts leaking, adhesive has broken down prematurely. Most silicone sealants are not suitable for full immersion, fish tank sealant not readily available locally. Solution. Marine sealant. Sikaflex products are very good, as I have used automotive sealants before. Its not expensive, by comparison to high performance silicone. It is hard to squeeze out with a gun, next time I'd probably warm it up a little. Once cured, job seems to be done. I have used it for a number of other of little leaky bits, here and there. Would imagine it would be put to a whole range of waterproofing and sealing tasks. so yes, a recommendation.

It does the job of an adhesive very well, however because of its consistency it does seem next to impossible to apply using the usual gun nozzle, it may help to warm the tube, the other downside is that there are no English instructions on the tube, but they can be found online, be careful to seal the tube if you want to use it again as it will set in the tube outlet, it is a very good product and I would recommend it.

This is the best waterproof sealant around, I did a lot of research as my partners car was letting in a small amount of water around one of the seals which had come off, and this was universally recommended for repairs and sealing, used heavily by the boating community who know what they are talking about. It's not cheap, but worked perfectly, a single application and the issue was fixed, great adhesion and completely waterproof once cured. Recommended!

I've had a problem with a leaking roof box on my barge. I've used Sikaflex products before but hadn't tried this one specifically. Easy enough to apply, cures pretty quickly and creates a very durable and tight seal. I'll be experimenting with other uses for this as I think it'll likely replace several other sealants I use regularly. Highly recommended for any marine applications.

Sikaflex is brilliant, but photo shows nossels yet none supplied adding more expense and hassle to go and buy.

Excellent mastic marine polyuréthane Sikaflex 291i. La tenue à l'eau est excellente, parfait pour les applications en milieu humide et marin. La flexibilité élevée permet d'absorber les vibrations sans se fissurer. Sans solvant, il peut être peint une fois sec. L'application est facile et le produit adhère bien à la plupart des surfaces (bois, métal, plastique, fibre de verre). Très bon produit SIKA comme toujours.

Sigillante/mastice marino con una buona lavorabilità. Si attacca benissimo alle superfici e si spalma facilmente. Vedremo la durata nel tempo. Attenzione: utilizzare guanti e protezioni perchè non va via dalla pelle se non dopo diversi giorni
