Rolson 44409 Four Head Rivet Gun

Really good. Has a small head which allows better access to small places and fits well in my large ladies hands. I've done well over a hundred 3.2mm rivets and not one problem. Would buy again.

Excellent value for money. Sturdy and with a good set of rivets to get you started. So far I used it for a couple of small jobs. It performs flawlessly. I have not riveted a lot with it, but I don't see any obvious issues. Sometimes the rivet pin stays inside after riveting, but you can work out how to do it to minimise this. Not tightening the head too much helps to get it released immediately, so you can play around with that. I don't mind at all if a pin every once and then does not get released immediately anyway, don't see why that would be a problem... just push it out with another rivet pin. Great quality tool for the money. Would buy it again.

This is to repair my summer seat.

This rivet gun arrived promptly and is of excellent quality. The package contained the rivet gun with 4 sizes of head along with rivets of those 4 sizes. I have used the largest size to replace one which had broken on my 20 year-old garage door. The gun and rivet worked exactly as they are supposed to do. Contrary to the experience of some other reviewers, the shank of the rivet was ejected by the gun in the way that it is designed to do. Perhaps those who had problems failed to follow the instructions which are clearly shown on the packaging - i.e. pull the arms of the gun fully open and let the broken-off shank fall out of the back. I paid £4.25 for this rivet gun delivered through my letter-box. I repaired my garage door within about half an hour and saved myself the cost of calling out a specialist. Also, I now have a good quality riveter with lots of rivets. Does anyone want any riveting done? I don't charge much - and I have total confidence in my riveter!

Absolute shocker. I struggled with 3 rivets over about an hour, it wouldn't grip or the rivets got stuck - managed to mangle the piece of metal I was trying to rivet and now it doesn't grip anything and the handles barely open. You get what you pay for, but still when you pay for something you expect it to work.

Needed this for a just a few rivets to repair a metal cabinet. I think it is fair to say the rivets that come with the gun are not of the best quality but after a few false starts seem to have done the job for me. The gun itself feels nice but has the problem other reviewers have noted in that it did not once release the bar of the rivet just applied. Each and every time I had to remove the head and push the bar out with the blunt end of a drill bit (don't try to push it out with another rivet or that will become stuck too). Did the job I needed it for but would be maddening if many rivets were needed. Reflects price paid I guess. Oh and the pin between the handles and the jaws rotates freely too meaning that if the jaws did release the rivet bar often it could not fall though anyway...

What a handy tool, good quality much easier than using twisting wires or self tapping screws
