Works effectively, used on wrought iron gate, had to modify the runner as needed to use screws to hold that went into metal. Just wish runner bar was metal not plastic as will eventually degrade due to weather.

Had years of asking my daughter to close the living room door. I decided to solve the issue by getting closer. Color blends in well with out decor. Very easy to fit however, I do need a bit more tension but I feel if I turn the bar another notch it may damage it. That said, the door does close but not fully because of the door handle catch is stiff so it's stopping it. Another slight niggle is, when the door closes, it does make a very slight rubbing noise when the bar slides along the plastic guide attached to the door. Not a deal breaker but it's there. Over all I'm happy, no more arguments and my thermostat in the hallway on the other side of the door now has a more constant temperature to work with lol

easy to install, does exactly what I needed, quality seem pretty good, will be getting some more

Bought it for a garden gate. It seems to work so far but the screws are terrible. The main screws for holding the body are cheap and one head sheared off when I was fitting it. The countersunk bolts on the slider didn't sit flush and it bounces over them. I wouldn't use it in the house as it's noisy but for outdoor use it's fine for the price

Stay away to avoid expensive repair bills! Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this product and the fixing materials supplied with it. Unfortunately within a few days of use, the bottom left screw cap broke off, due to which the bottom right screw was not able to hold the extra pressure being applied to it. In the end the whole unit fell apart, and made very loud squeaky noises when opening the door. Had to take it off, and now having to find a way to get the broken screw out 😡, and repair damage to the door and frame.

I think this is great and worth the money. Keeps the door closed on the downstairs loo so no more walking in the front door and looking at the toilet 😊

This has been installed for about a month now. It was easy to install and works well to close the door fully, but doesn't slam it. Perhaps because this is fitted on an internal door which opens back wider than 90 degrees, the plate does not cover the full range of movement of the end of the closer and this has has caused marks on the door (a grey line). We also had an issue, when the door was being used by children without close supervision, that the bar has poked a hole in the door. Both of these issues have been remedied by installing a fingerplate along the full range of movement of the bar; and I would still replace this if it was to break.

Worked for a few weeks. Not sure why it broke one day. Perhaps I was using it under too much tension.

Bought this doorcloser for an inner door. Not all the reviews are positive about the supplied screwsso i installed it with better screws just to be sure. The Guiderail is not long enough according to some but if you install the spring-unit close to the hinges it should be good. Tensioning is a bit off a fiddle if the door is sunk deep in its post. Then you can use a extra tensioning arm beside the one which is supplied, an 8x80 mm bolt will do the job. Used it one week sofar and i am happy with it. Seems simple and robust enough.....
