Mega Retro Sweets Hamper

A Quarter Of is easily the best retro sweet supplier on the Internet. I've ordered there before and when the pre-Christmas special deal for this came up, I snapped up one for myself and one for a friend. We both used them as gifts - who isn't going to be happy with a big box full of sweets from their childhood. Even the most hardened health guru would bathe in the nostalgia for 20 minutes even if they didn't actually eat anything. It's just hard not to begin a conversation about what you like, what you remember and what sweets you can never find yourself. Any order I've made has always been delivered promptly and well packaged. The sweets are at least as good as I remember, which is tough after nearly 30 years. They even stocked stuff I though had long gone, like the little chocolate cups with foil wrappers and the little bags of Gold Dust bubblegum. If you're deciding whether to buy, then do it... Really, you won't regret it.

An Extra for Birthday Present which was a box of Suprises!! I think this was actually “THE” best birthday present this Year!! Other family members complained as they didn’t get this!!! Looks like I’ve started a Family Birthday Tradition! Box contains lots of Firm Childhood Favourites - we weren’t allowed to sample any!! I will be ordering again excellent value for money!!

I purchased this as a fun gift for my son on his 40th birthday and he loved it. It was nostalgic going through all the sweets in this box there is such a wonderful selection!! This really is the perfect gift for any candy lover but also if there’s someone you know who hasn’t tried a lot of British sweets this is great. The sweets are in a fun box which was sturdy although had to be careful taking the stickers off. It is jam packed and totally worth the money! Would definitely purchase again. Sorry I don't have a photo but half of them were gone by the time I thought of it as my son gave some to my grandchildren and each one had a story attached to it!!

I ordered this for my son for Christmas day. The packaging is fun and the box contains mainly branded sweets and I know he will love opening this present and eating the contents, however, I can't help feeling a little disappointed. I was expecting a box crammed to the brim with sweets. It does contain a wide variety but definately not the amount of flying sauces as shown on the photograph. This product is currently reduced and I would say for the current price of £15.95 it's good unfortunately I paid the full price of £19.95 (it wasn't on offer when purchased) so feel alittle let down.

A box of nostalgia, sugar and fun.. Especially the sugar. It was lovely, with such a wide variety. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough sherbet, but that's because I adore it and there will never be enough of it. I may buy one for Father's Day. I have bought similar products in the past and, while I was supporting local sweet shops those other times and that's something I will always support, I must say that this is the best one yet.

Everything that was stated was in the box, it came roughly the size of a small shoe box. Delivery was fairly quick and although it may have been cheaper to buy the products individually (I haven't actually checked this) I can't imagine it would have been worth the time finding them all! I bought as part of a Christmas present but did have a sneaky look inside, the box looked full and I was very tempted to eat half the stuff myself. Although the box is cardboard it has a nice design on it that makes it look much nicer. Overall I think it was fairly good value for money as the time (and petrol) I would have spent finding all this made it worth it. It's also an easy present that I reckon most people would enjoy (and hopefully the person I've bought it for will feel the same!). In case anyone would like to know the use by date on the box says April 2016.

I've tried a few different hampers like 8 and this is by far the best chocolates sweets sour sweet love it this is my second one now won't be going anywhere else the box is big not like an envelope lol thankyou ps my kids don't no I have it mwahahaha

I bought this for my sons birthday. He is delighted with it. Its nicely boxed, filled to the brim with a good selection of sweets and chocolates. So it should be for the money though! I'm in the wrong job. Thank goodness I bought it on offer for just under £20. If I bought all the sweets from Home Bargains I could fill this box with good items for about £6. In fairness one or two items are retro and hard to get now. There's absolutely nothing bad about this item, it's just very expensive and smaller than expected although the weight is correct.
