So. The Logitech K400 Plus. In a world where PCs are now in the living room for gaming, you don't want a large keyboard with a separate mouse. It's just not good. Enter the K400 Plus. It's largely unremarkable in a keyboard, but that is why it is so good. It's consistent. It's reliable. The range from the dongle in your PC to where you sit is relative to a lightyear. The range is that good. Battery life is also solid as heck. I have had this keyboard since April 2023, and it has not once failed on me. Yes, one or two keys is now slowly losing the text on it, but it's not fully gone away. Use for a media center or simply couch browsing is second to none. It has a dedicated LMB at the top left for your left thumb, and your right thumb is where the track pad is, and it is glorious. It may not be the best keyboard around, as there are better ones, but if you want a reliable keyboard with a reliable connection and battery life to survive longer than anything else on the market on simply 2x AAs, look no further.

Goods things: Its affordability for small keyboard, its very budget friendly wireless keyboard for media. It’s plug and play, it works out of the box with windows, linux and android. Bad things: There no blacklist so the lack of back lighting would make it difficult to use in darkness. The keyboard typing is acceptable for what it is used for. The keys are mushy so it isn’t ideal for extended sessions or writing anything serious but, it is media keyboard so its fine for that. No Bluetooth, this model is just using the USB unifying receiver so there isn’t ability to connect via bluetooth. You would need to use adapter to connect to table or smartphone which wouldn’t have USB port. Overall, I’m using this keyboard for homelab as I need small keyboard to install new OS or write something in terminal for my home server then it is great! Also would be great for media computer in the living room or chrome box.

Nice size, feels sturdy, looks smart, great for casual use. Can be temperamental at times, the Dongle is very sensitive to interference, so likes to be on its own, something to consider if your devices ports are already crowded... I'm using it on my HTPC & it's perfect for navigating from the couch! So for Entertainment focused builds, Smart TVs/Boxes, stuff like that, it gets the job done nicely. Wouldn't use it on my main PC but honestly, that doesn't really seem to be the intention for this thing anyway.

Perfect for a classroom, and assembly hall! I'm a teacher. I hate being locked to my desk so use this to be free to go around my class at ease while having full control over my computer and presentation. As a bonus, tried this in the assembly hall, connected to a computer at the back of the hall whilst presenting to my year group. Works flawlessly. So, this has a range through the dongle it comes with of at least 17 meters. Just brilliant.

I picked this up on 26 May 2025 and it’s been brilliant so far. The Logitech K400 Plus is lightweight, responsive, and really handy for controlling my PC-connected TV from the sofa. The built-in touchpad is a huge bonus — no need for a separate mouse, and it works smoothly. Setup was instant. Just plugged in the USB receiver and it worked straight away on both Windows and Android devices without needing to install drivers. I haven’t tested it on an Android tablet yet, but if it’s got a USB port or you use an OTG adapter, it should work fine. The keyboard is comfortable to type on for casual use like web browsing, emails, and media control. Battery life seems solid so far — still on the first set of batteries. If I had to be picky, I’d say it would be nice if it supported Bluetooth too for even wider compatibility. But for the price, this is a cracking little keyboard for media setups. Highly recommended if you want something simple, reliable, and portable

Just Received mine for use with an iMac .... First off it does work on an iMAC!!! This was a relief... As it is a windows keyboard there is no 'command button' ... the command button is in fact the Windows Key .... It works really well ... so like if you want to take a screenshot you would press 'Windows Key+Shift+4' .... works really well ...Was a bonus to see that it actually came with batteries installed! ​ The mouse track pad actually works fine one this too ... it is fast and you can use gestures which I was surprised with.... two fingers swipe up and down will scroll page ... saying that I would not get rid of my mouse but saying this I would use the two finger scroll on the track pad than using the scroll wheel on my mouse. ... i think this will win ... Only downside I think is IMO the keys are too close together so I am currently finding it a bit difficult to type. Sometimes I press two letters instead of one... over time I think this will be overcome but just a small niggle. Also there are not those two tab things at the bottom top of the keyboard that you can open so it props the keyboard up ... unsure their technical name of these maybe 'tabs' Overall this is not a bad keyboard ... if only its dimensions were a tad bit larger would be nice.... for this price though you can't beat it ... I will be ordering another one for the TV as browsing the likes of Youtube and Netflix etc will be a lot easier with this on a tv than using a standard remote and the trackpad really works rather well .... Recommendation Rating: 9/10 - for me personally the keys are a tad too small and I like the tab things on keyboards which this does not have but I am very impressed with this. Will buy another one for sure at these prices

After looking at other reviews the first thing I did was check it had a £ sign (it does) and test the track pad which is good and responsive. Thanks to the person who pointed out where the receiver was ( in the box at the front with a paper tag). The keyboard is a nice size, a little smaller than a standard keyboard which is good for me and takes up less desk space. The keyboard is well thought out and I like the layout, from the left mouse button located on the top left above the keys, to the conveniently placed volume controls. At first glance I was worried that there were no F keys but they are they are there along the top of the keyboard. You just need to press the main function key option to use them. I think at some point I may upgrade to the version with the lit up keyboard because some of the different coloured function items on the keys are difficult for me to see. I have not had chance to gauge how long the batteries last. I will come back and edit the review if it proves to be terrible. However I use rechargeable batteries so I am not overly concerned unless I have to charge them very regularly. I have not used it for gaming yet so I don't know how that will be. The only other consideration is the security issue. I believe the reviewer mentioned some of this being fixed a few months ago so am not unduly concerned. However I will read a little more at some point and if I find it still to be an issue I will come back and comment. I also do not use the unifying software and am not using the keyboard in an open office so hopefully this cuts down the risk. Let me know if you have any further thoughts on this. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. I have chosen to give it 5 stars because it is better than I expected from what the other reviews say but I will come back and alter this if for any reason I discover a problem. At the moment through I think I got a good buy. Edit: May 30 2020 Only slight negative is on the keyboard there is no light indicating when the keyboard is on CAPS. There is a small indicator which looks like it may be designed to light up but on mine it does not. Aug 2020. Sadly not waterproof. I spilled tea on it and had to replace.

This keyboard APPEARS to be very well made, & APPEARS to be unused, but as for how it actually works, & how long it lasts remains to be seen, so more about that below. I got it yesterday Wednesday 14 Nov (delivered by Hermes) from Amazon for £24.99. Delivered within about 24 hrs as I am a 'Prime' customer. As usual some delivery companies employees DO NOT treat the items they deliver with any respect at all! since the AMAZON beige box it arrived in looked like it had been squashed by something very heavy, as did the Logitech branded packaging inside the AMAZON packaging, that actually contained the keyboard. The 'yellow sticker' I have seen attached to this keyboard in youtube videos was NOT there, making me think that this keyboard may well be a SECOND HAND OR USED and RETURNED and resold as new item, especially considered the very poor condition of both the exterior AMAZON packaging & the LOGITECH branded box. When I pay for a NEW item I expect to get a NEW item. The battery life will probably reveal how old this item actually is since the batteries are supposed to last 18 months. Use with Sony Bravia Androud TV: In use (with a Sony 4k Android TV) it MOSTLY works as it should since it allows you to type letters for search much faster. It does not have a microphone button, but does not need one, since the Sony Remote has the Google Voice Assistant button. You will find that even when typing with this keyboard (the virtual keyboard still shows on screen) SOME functions (like ENTER) will not work properly (while viewing OPERA web browser pages), since you still need to use either the TV remote or the keyboard arrow buttons, to get the SAME item you want to click on (which IS highlighted when you get there with the trackpad, becuase the enter button still does NOT function in this scenario). This also means that the 'suggested' words that appear above the virtual keyboard will also NOT be selectable via the enter button if you highlight them by moving the cursor to them with the trackpad. This keyboard allows the arrow/cursor to be moved around VERY quickly AND SMOOTHLY with ONE finger, BUT to scroll properly in web pages, you still have to either use the TV remote or arrow buttons on the keyboard to move THE SAME CURSOR to the bottom of the tv screen. When scrolling with two fingers DOES work it scrolls far too quickly in big jumps so either move your fingers VERY slowly, with scrolling still being VERY jerky or don't bother. Therefore scrolling with TWO fingers DOES NOT WORK properly & only very erratically, since most of the time the trackpad does NOT react with two finger use, anyway. Also, this keyboard is a bluetooth item (as is the TV) but you still need to use the dongle for the TV to recognise the keyboards existence. When viewing the Sony Android TV interface, you CAN SEE AND MOVE the cursor around the screen, but enter does NOT work to select an item hovered over, because that item us NOT highlighted - therefore the Remote or keyboard arrow buttons have to be used. Use with Fire TV devices: If you try to use this keyboard with a 2nd Generation Fire TV device, it WILL work up to a point WITHOUT using the dongle. e.g. you can see a cursor on ANY screen including the home screen, but again the enter button will NOT select ANYTHING. Still WITHOUT using the dongle the keyboard arrow buttons WILL highlight items on the Fire TV home screen interface AND will get to 'settings' items, but NOTHING can be selected. This Fire TV device is a bluetooth device, but it will NOT find the keyboard, so you still HAVE to use thr dongle for better functionality. However TYPING DOES WORK, but WITHOUT the dongle the ENTER button does NOT work, at all. When typing with this keyboard the virtual keyboard does still appear on screen. When the dongle IS used then Enter WILL work (erratically). BUT the trackpad then DOES NOT, so you no longer see a 'cursor' and will HAVE to use the keyboard arrow buttons or 'Alexa Voice Remote to move around the Fire TV screen interface. When using a browser (like Firefox) with Fire TV, you DO see a smaller grey circle cursor as well as the big blue one, and you can move this little grey cursor - with the trackpad - but there is little point doing so since Enter will NOT work when hoverimg over an item with the grey cursor - you STILL have to use the keyboard arrow buttons or the Alexa Voice Remote, to highlight any item or link before you can select it with the enter button. The upshot of all this leaves me with questions: 1) Even though this keyboard (when dongle is or is not inserted), DOES have a small amount of cursor control via the trackpad, there is little point in this trackpad being there since very little is highlighted or even selectable with the enter or mouse buttons. 2) The volume & mute buttons above the trackpad DO work (with the Sony TV). 3) Why does a bluetooth enabled Sony 4k Android TV NOT detect this bluetooth keyboard without the dongle? 4) Why do I still need to use the dongle for the BLUETOOTH Keyboard to work, either erratically or NOT work at all with bluetooth enabled devices? 4) Why is SOME control possible of a Fire TV device, WITHOUT using the dongle? 5) Why does the trackpad of this keyboard show a cursor on the Sony Android TV user home interface (when using the dongle) & on the Fire TV user home interface (when NOT using the dongle), but still does not allow 'proper mouse control' including the use of 'selection' function via mouse buttons or enter whichever device I try to use this keyboard with? 6) Why is it that - when USING the dongle - that I can use the trackpad (ONLY in Firefox for Fire TV) but I then see TWO cursors (& the little grey one does NOT highlight links or items).?
