200m Clear Nylon Invisible Thread

Fine and dandy.

Faced with sewing on badges for Brownies, I didn't have a clue which shade of brown I needed and no time to visit a haberdashery shop, with a badge and the ridiculous-looking sash effort (yes Brownies, I said it), to find a match. I'm busy, my time is worth more than haberdashery faff. And so, I suspect, is yours. This item solves EVERYTHING. If you sew neatly, the thread isn't noticeable at all. I haven't attempted to use it for repairs or buttons yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work well. Useful bit of kit if you have children in the house. I say this quite often, maybe there should be a series. :)

Purchased to attach some beads to a knit project. I am by no means an experienced sewer - I generally avoid it as always been quite useless - so my comments should be viewed with that in mind. However, I was impressed by it's invisibility, though combining invisible thread with a virtually invisible fine beading needle - even one with a large collapsable eye - meant it was difficult to thread. That the thread is quite plasticy in nature and comes off a coil means it is both springy (inclined to stay coiled) and slippery, making threading the needle even harder. I really had to persevere, but I suspect this is fairly unavoidable. Also had to secure the end without pulling the thread right through as it slips through easily. I eventually made it work by leaving a long tail and working into the wool strands, back and forth, a few times. Once I got going though it was as easy to use as regular thread and overall I think that the difficulties with ease of use is probably a characteristic of invisible thread rather than anything to do with this product per se and the results are impressive - you can't see the thread even with my terrible sewing.

I have recently tried to re-upholster an old ottamen, but was disappointed that the stitching showed. My sister recommended this clear thread, so I tried again using this. The Ottamen looks much better.

great product compleatly invisible

Great in theory but almost impossible to thread the needle especially when using sewing machine.

They were not joking about the invisible part. I needed them to hang over 30 stars from the ceiling (my daughter wanted a star/unicorn birthday). You could not see the thread at all and it truly looked as if the stars were just up in the air. It didn't rip even once. It's so see through, that my husband had trouble taping it to the ceiling cause it kept slipping between his fingers and he couldn't see it well enough to re-grab it. haha Not sure how it would work for a sewing machine since I haven't tried that.

pour coudre des appliques au crochet sur couverture bébé. Assez solide et facile à manier avec aiguilles à enfilage facile. La bobine me servira pour d autres réalisations. Je recommande et moins cher qu en grande surface.

L’ho utilizzato per dei lavoretti di Natale. Ha una buona tenuta e tutto sommato il rapporto qualità prezzo lo rende un buon prodotto. Consigliato a tutti gli utenti!

Fil nylon très fin. La plupart du temps pour le voir il faut le chercher, mais il peut même devenir totalement invisible, selon l'éclairage ou l'angle de vision. Cerise sur le gâteau, ou plutôt paillette sur l'étoile suspendue, ce fil est très solide (bon c'est du nylon en même temps je vous l'accorde). Je m'en suis servi pour suspendre des objets de décoration au plafond. Rien à dire de plus. Vous pouvez l'acheter les yeux fermés (puisqu'il est invisible, évidemment...) (Merci de m'aider à améliorer mes commentaires produits en m'informant sur l'utilité de celui-ci ;-) )
