Feliway Friends Cat Calming Plug-In Pheromone Diffuser Starter Kit

3 week update... so it worked for a week then gradually the fighting and dominating behaviour returned! I've just checked the plug in and it's empty, haven't even made it to 30 days! And it's leaked onto the floor, not the best! Will be interesting to see what happens now I've replaced. So far I'm not impressed and to change every 2-3 weeks will be so expensive!!Day 3 of using this plug in and I can say I now have two very happy, content cats. Our almost 2year old male cat originally was the only cat in the house but was being vicious with just me in the family. The vet recommended getting another cat as a friend for him, so we picked wisely and got another kitten 6 months ago. This did divert his aggression from me but straight to the new kitten! And wow did he show major signs of hate for his new 'friend'. At the point of looking at rehoming, the vet suggested trying these plug ins. Day 1 not much difference, Day 2 very chilled and sleepy but playful at times. Day 3, what would normally have turned into a serious fight was playful zoomies around the house and nothing more. Both cats are happy, content. Long may it continue!

i had feliway classic before for a cystitis cat and it worked the next day for his anxiety. I have now taken in a stray cat with my two older cats at 11 years, there were arguments, blocking and boxing going on, so I tried feliway friends, after 2 days of it being plugged in my hall to dissipate through my house, the behaviour has changed to a more subtle passing, no more boxing and blocking so much. For my kitties it is working so hopefully settle the newcomer in without having to reorder plugs for the rest of their lives, time will tell it's still early days but so far looks promising

Three warnings in the instructions that should be noted before you buy this product: 1) it may take up to a month to work; 2) there is a risk of fire if you use the diffusers with an extension cord or an older, lose socket, and it does give off an odour for the first 24 hours; 3) it can be fatal if swallowed and inhaled (and since it's at ground level to dogs and toddlers but can't be hidden by furniture, this is a real risk).My personal experience was that it worked within a few days once if found the correct spot. Without using extension cords, it was very hard to find a spot that both had a socket and was somewhere that the cats hang out a lot but wasn't covered with furniture etc. Once I did (and I had to use an extension cord to do it), the product showed visible effects within three days. There was a smell at first but that vanishes after the first day.The biggest problem that I had was that my dog is a scent hound and he was instantly in love with this diffuser. I found one good spot for it, left the room, and returned to find that he had eaten it, swallowed most of the contents, and was munching on the diffuser. As it turned out, he was fine. It went down so fast that he didn't inhale it and with a lot of water/worry/dry food it went right through him. Hence the extension cords above as I had to find sockets that were out of dog chew range.

Science backed however our new inherited cat (following family bereavement) didn’t get any noticeable benefit. Sent disturbed other cat, whom wouldn’t come into the room fur days!

definitely works!! I have a resident cat and 2 strays who have claimed me, lots of tension and possessive behaviour to the point my cat wasn't coming home at all and one of the strays was guarding the door. After a couple of days with the plug in everyone calmed down and was civil, I only realised this had ran out as the negative behaviour started again

Without this, one of my cats hisses and growls at the other one and chases her around. In response, the second cat starts spraying in the house, despite being a spayed female. Within 24 hours of plugging this is they’re both fine and will happily sleep next to each other. It amazes me how well it works. If I forget to change the refill then the bullying restarts - I now set myself a reminder to change it before it completely runs out.I’ve also tried pet remedy. That also seems to calm my cats but it does stink. The feliway one I can’t smell at all. It’s not cheap but definitely worth it in my house. I gather it doesn’t work for all cats, but if you have cats that don’t get on then I’d suggest it’s worth giving this a try.

I consider myself a valued customer of both Amazon.co.uk and Feliway, which is why I find it so difficult to write this review. In the main, I take great joy in providing 5* Reviews but, on this occasion, I'm left with no other alternative but to submit an extremely rare hyper-negative review.We've used this Feliway Product and nearly every single one of their products, on the market, but to no avail.Although Feliway advertises itself as the top product, they're not only excessively over-priced but also the least effective of all the cat-calming products we've ever used, in the last 20 years of being cat-parents.When we first started using Feliway Friends, on a recommendation, we had 3 cats, namely Peggi (who was 14, when she died earlier this year), Terri (9 years old) and Gremlin (7 years old, who joined us in September 2022, from Saudi Arabia and is part feral.)We were hoping that Feliway would live up to its reputation, however, now after many months, a myriad of episodes of open warfare, between all three cats, usually instigated by Gremlin, we decided to try Feliway as a highly recommended solution. What an absolute waste of money!However, we thought we'd give Feliway a second chance and switch to Feliway Optimum, as this was recommended, by their company, as the most effective product for our Feline Household.Unfortunately, Feliway has again let us down, for a second time, after having spent yet another fortune on a product that is, for all intent and purposes, falsely advertised as a product that works as well as they say it does.We've learned a very hard and extremely expensive lesson, in regards to Feliway Products and would now actively discourage anyone looking for a calming solution, for their multi-cat households, to avoid Feliway like the plague.

I was introducing my 15 year old cat to a new rescued 14 year old cat. After some initial yowling matches at the room divider we decided after a couple of weeks we'd seen enough improvement to let them get face to face. Big mistake, we instantly had a fur flying, claws out screaming fight. We were devastated, thought we'd jumped the gun and ruined their relationship forever and the new cat would need to go back.Feliway Friends was a last roll of the dice. The cat resuce had recommended feliway and we had been using the standard purple spray, but they didn't suggest this red "friends" product which is clearly more designed for our situation. I would say after about 3 days I started seeing much less alarm and more calm interactions at the divider, and after a week or so started to feed together without the divider. I think it just took the edge off enough so they could tolerate their presence. Fast forward to today, 27 days after I started using it and we had our first evening last night with both cats on our laps. I suppose I'll never know for sure if this diffuser really made the difference, but I know enough to recommend it.Also with 2 days to go of the "30 days", I'd say there's at least a third of the bottle left so it's slightly better value than advertised.As for the smell, it's barely detectable unless you stand right over it, and what you might pick up occasionally is actually quite a pleasant buttered popcorn aroma, nothing harsh or chemical.

If you have separate room for your Cats mabe it works, but at the first hour i plugged this diffuser in the living room i got very bad headache. Please be carful this item is not Returnable. Also as per their instruction you can not plug in, the diffuser, in a electrical extention or plug near/under furniture because device get hot.

I think it’s working I mean my cats are acting more calm so far so good

The cats looks like never smell nothing about it. Not working at all. Waste of money.
