CANNA Aqua Clay 45L

I've been using the CANNA Aqua Clay 45L for several months now, and it has significantly improved my hydroponic gardening setup. The clay pebbles are uniform in size and shape, which ensures excellent aeration and drainage for my plants. They’re also incredibly durable and reusable, making them a cost-effective choice in the long run. What I appreciate most about these clay pebbles is their pH neutrality. the quality is quite nice i have absolutely no complaints. but i hope everyone knows 45L means A LOT of leca lol, some of my plants thrive on leca and some dont😭 so i think 45L of leca will last me my whole life. not to mention it is reusable and lasts forever. i dont think it was super dusty either. i washed and soaked it overnight and its good to go.

I knew 45l is a lot, but the bag of clay pebbles is big (and heavy)! Good thing I have a lot of plants and too many bloody flies I wanted to get rid off. In my office, all plants are planted in the clay pebbles and lady who takes care of it recommended it to me. Although she did mention that if I replant my babies from soil to pebbles they may not take it well and some could die. I hesitated on that. I ordered this product because the price was right for my budget and I was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought I just try with few plants but when I started I did all of them and none of them died. All of them thriving in this alternative option. It was so easy to replant them with one annoying part: it's recommended to rinse the pebbles first. It has a lot of clay dust and it has to go before you use them. Also, you should keep them in the water for about 6 to 12 hours (dependsof the article you reading) so it would absorbe water better and won'tdry the plants. Since i did that, everything else was painless and surprisingly satisfying. I washed the roots so no more soil left on the plant and I put the pot inside the water first and then dropped the pebbles. In the water you can easily maneuver the plant the way you like it to stand and then take it out and it looks perfect. Its been about 2 months I replanted my plants and they I could see the growth in them. They are thriving! And I am not afraid to overwater because I soke them in the water and fertiliser solution for about 10 minutes and then put them back on the shelf. Clay pebbles absorbs the water and I am worry free for a week. If I would go somewhere for longer period, I would just leave a bit of water at the bottom and they would be fine. The best decision I ever made. Simplified my life so much.

Excellent product and perfect for my needs, using them as a way of keeping chill off my citrus plants, as sun warms the granules they should help release that as my greenhouse cools, will also keep things cooler in summer if sprayed with water to increase humidity. Bag is about size of a large, fat bag of compost. Very little dust and all a fairly uniform size bits. Very happy with them and great value.

I separated the small ones (two small buckets) from the ones bigger than 10 mm (big bucket). Around 20L of them are small. The rest are just slightly bigger. But they are all round and nicely looking. That is why I gave 4 stars.

Works very well for topping compost in containers as well as mixing with compost to add aeration. As a compost amendment, these are way better than perlite (they don’t annoyingly float to the top when you water like perlite, and they look much nicer). There’s quite a good variation in the sizes of the clay balls, and I usually sort them into piles so I can use the smallest ones to mix with the compost and the largest ones to use on bottoms (to stop compost coming out drainage holes) and tops of pots. I use this stuff for almost all my container plants now. Large bag is a really good value. Would highly recommend.

too good value for money. I compared with top notch brands , this costed me half the price and after wash it is good enough. Size is decent enough. Not huge not tiny just perfect. So huge quantity one bag that you can surely cater need for a decade worth for all the pots. I won't advise them use outdoors anyways as it is not required and can cause issues. But for indoor pots for sure they are good

Good product nice balled mineral. No real dust than you would expect no need to wash the balls before use would recommend.

Great soil additive to insure proper drainage in container growing

Hatte vorher einmal von OBI das Westland Produkt probiert. Die Qualität war so schlecht und hatte mich nicht überzeugt. Der Blähton war teilweise gebrochen, ungleichmäßig verarbeitet und rund war da nichts. Die Oberfläche war auch eher rau und ich mochte es ungerne anfassen. Wollte Blähton damit schon den Rücken kehren, bis ich auf YouTube auf dieses Produkt aufmerksam wurde. Die Qualität spielt in einer anderen Liga. Nichts ist gebrochen, alles sehr kugelförmig und beim Waschen merkt man sofort die viel angenehmere Oberfläche. Übrigens, waschen sollte man diese zumindest einmal vor Gebrauch. Die Kugeln sind staubig, vermutlich durch leichten Abrieb beim Transport. Im Vergleich zum OBI Produkt ist das hier Premium Qualität. So macht Hydrokultur Spaß. Würde ich jederzeit wiedereiter kaufen.
