it depends how dark your item is to start with,i dyed my white jeans black and needed 2 packs,when i dyed some faded black tshirts and faded black jeans i used just the 1 packet,hope this helps

I've used 2 packs now to dye a cream jacket black .. it's turned out brown is it worth trying again ?
