The best entry in the series!
Sun and Moon are a refreshing addition to an old title, without a doubt they are the best within the whole game series. There are lots of new or tweaked features in S&M that have made the game alot tougher and more enjoyable. For starters the new pokemon introduced in S&M seem alot more... "interesting and just more" than those introduced in previous titles like X&Y and B&W, also the layout and areas which you catch certain things like the "baby" pokemon seem to make the game far more interesting. The longevity of the game also seems alot better than previous versions as the game itself seems tougher, this could be because i never liked the idea of "Z moves" as i never liked Mego-Evo in X&Y, without these distinct advantages or the usage of the Demo gift, the whole game lasted far longer than previous titles. The new gym replacement "Island trials" at first, seem like a easier and less challenging replacement as you only take on 1 Specific Pokemon and whatever that calls for help, but this actually is far more difficult and more interesting due to its vastly increased statistics. Also details on training specific pokemon has become alot easier to understand over previous games which allows you to find and train pokemon with more potential alot easier. Also the lack (so far as of Jan 2017) of a National Pokedex is not implemented, which may seem as a bad thing, worked out as a better factor of the game, there are 301 / 800+ available pokemon so you are hardly limited for choice, but there are more reasonable trade offers in game rather than past games where players wanted the "1 and only" pokemon in exchange for a thing they caught at the start of the game. Though it is the best game in the series in my opinion, there are a few things that i do have to point out are rather negative aspects, first and formost, the game still includes mega-evolution which was a rather disliked feature by alot of players, though this is a end game aspect, with little bearing to overall gameplay, also it is not forced upon you like X&Y / OR&AS, so it is not a major problem. The main other complaint i have is that the online interactions (battles / trades) are alot more of a bother to access (you have to access a seperate area to access those features) than in X&Y which was accessable at any place and at any time, making it less desirable to participate in these. Overall though both S&M are brilliant games and any fan to the series, be it 20 years ago or just recently should definatly try these games.

The best Pokemon game I’ve played yet!!!!!!!
This Pokemon sun is a absolutely amazing game it’s so so so addictive I’ve spent hour after hour on it collecting Pokemon meeting new people in the game and battling them with my game Pokemon it’s so much different to the mystery dungeon ones I’m used too because instead of being a Pokemon your a trainer instead and I think I personally prefer it being a trainer instead too be honest the graphics are top notch on my 2ds too the game play is great the controls are easy and well laid out I’m truly in love with this game and I highly recommend it to anyone lookOMG for a very entertaining well thought out game also the storyline is well written too top marks all round really

I recommend this game for any pokémon fan
I recommend this game for any pokémon fan, old or new, it has been a joy to play, though I have a few minor criticisms - As always, there were some great features from the previous generation that I was disappointed to see were not included in this generation, such as the dex-nav, super training, some of the mini-games, the ability to sneak through grass using the analogue pad, etc. - Character customisation is a bit limited in some ways, there are new options for accessories but seemingly less choice of style when it comes to clothes, I miss a lot of the outfits from X and Y, and for some reason you can't be ginger anymore. - A few pokémon that would really have fit the region were left out entirely, such as bellossom, and some that really deserved regional variants were left as their normal forms. - There aren't many good places to grind for levels, though you won't have to much in the main game it's something that may hinder your progress in the post-game. - No strong rival again, which is a shame because Gladion could have been a strong rival if he'd been given a full team instead of just one or two pokémon. - A few favourite TMs have been replaced with not-so-good moves, such as Dig with Leech Life. However, the rest of the game is spectacular. Visually the game is beautiful; the world is no longer made of square tiles but instead an effort has clearly been made to give the environments a more natural look. Every character now has a 3D battle model now instead of just a flat cartoon sprite like in gen 6, and the pokémon have probably the best models I've seen in game yet. The poképellago feature is actually a lot of fun and useful too, allowing you to get items like evolution stones that were previously quite hard to get, farm berries, increase you pokémons' stats and happiness, hatch eggs without all the running about, and you can even get a few rare pokémon. The island challenges are not entirely dissimilar to gym battles but they are different enough to make this a new experience for returning fans. The captains and kahunas all have a bit of personality too, some even being more involved with the story. And speaking of the story, that's actually pretty good this time too, with full animated cutscenes, great characters, and a satisfying conclusion, with challenging boss battles and legendary fights too. Everything feels connected, and there's plenty of connections to other regions of the pokémon world too, so you'll likely find little easter eggs from your favourite past pokémon games. The Z-crystal moves are a really nice addition, not quite in the same league as mega-evolutions but they are fun to use and can get you out of a pinch at times. The rotom pokédex serves as a reminder for you when you get lost, telling you where to go next and marking your destination on its map to guide you, a nice change from in previous games where it could be quite easy to get lost. Finally, the new pokémon designs are all pretty decent this gen, none are truly terrible and some are really really well designed, taking inspiration from real world animals that fit the region, and in general the older generation pokémon included in the game make sense too (though as I said before, some that were left out would have fit well too), the new Alolan forms for many old pokémon give them a new lease of life too and it's been such fun learning all their new abilities. So, all in all I recommend this game, it has its flaws but it's still a really fun and enjoyable experience.
