Great product!
Iโm very pleased with this Vibe USB Sync and Charging Data Cable and would happily give it five stars. It has been a reliable replacement cable for my older Apple devices and works exactly as expected. It is great to have a compatible cable available for classic devices such as the iPhone 4/4s, iPhone 3G/3GS, older iPads, and iPods that use this connection. The cable provides both charging and data syncing, making it useful for transferring music, photos, and other files as well as keeping devices powered up. The connection feels secure, and it fits properly into the device without needing to force it or worry about it coming loose. Charging has been consistent, and I have had no issues with interruptions or unreliable performance. The build quality is good, with a durable outer covering and connectors that feel strong enough for regular everyday use. The length is practical, giving enough flexibility to use comfortably at a desk or beside a power socket. Overall, this is a simple but very useful accessory that does exactly what it promises. It offers excellent value for money and is a great option for anyone who still uses older Apple devices and needs a dependable replacement cable. I would definitely recommend it and give it five stars!

Apple are a disgrace
This worked fine for charging. Be aware, it doesn't work for re-installing iOS via iTunes, Reiboot or similar. You'll need an original Apple cable for that. The whole reason I bothered re-installing the OS at all was the iPad I bought this for wasn't charging. I took it to an Apple shop as a first step, to try and rule out simple problems like the plug or cable on the charger being faulty. They said they couldn't get it to charge either with their charger. Their "Genius" suggested a ยฃ180 consultation, as it was "probably the processor or battery" that was the problem. And warned that we may have to buy a new iPad for hundreds more pounds if that were the case. I'm not an Apple fan, and I don't own an iPad myself. This was an elderly relative's device. I am however a professional software developer, extremely technically competent, and know BS when I hear it. I knew it couldn't possibly have been the processor that was the problem, as the device did show the "connect to iTunes" graphic. And occasionally even booted to the login screen before running out of power. There would instead have been a completely blank screen if something as fundamental as the processor had been damaged. So anyway, I finally managed to get iOS re-installed after messing about with several cables, and settling on the original cable (which took several goes, but eventually worked.) I discovered after re-installing iOS that the cable above didn't *appear* to be charging when used in conjunction with the original Apple 3-pin power supply. So I borrowed someone else's original Apple power supply, and both this cable and the original Apple cable began to charge the iPad correctly when used in conjunction with that power supply plug. So, the problem was probably something as simple as the fuse being blown in the original, sealed Apple plug. It's frankly disgraceful that Apple can get away with selling electrical appliances that you can't even change the fuse on. Despite the rip-off price I was quoted for a "consultation" at the Apple store, all the iPad actually needed was a new plug - ยฃ15 from Tesco for a 12W one - plus this cable that cost less than ยฃ2 including delivery. The device is charging fine now. This was an elderly person's device, that Apple were ready and willing to charge ยฃ180 to even look at it before no doubt trying to persuade the owner to part with hundreds of more pounds for a brand new device. All because their crappy plug with non-replaceable fuse didn't work. Given that I specifically went into the Apple store to discount the possibility that the plug was the problem as the very first step in fixing the device, it's disgraceful that they suggested such an expensive and unnecessary route as the first and only course of action. So, bottom line, if you find you buy this cable and your device won't charge: borrow someone else's original Apple adapter plug that you know for sure to be working and rule out the possibility that it's something as simple as a faulty plug. Before listening to expensive, self-serving advice from know-nothing salespeople in Apple shops! Finally, be aware, many normal "usb adapter plugs" that work for charging mobile phones and USB3 fittings on most computers won't have enough wattage for the job of charging an iPad. If you have access to a wall power socket with a USB plug in it, that should work. Otherwise, specifically look for a USB adapter plug that is rated at least at 5W, and preferably 12W.

No good for iPod classic 160gb
Bought this to use with my iPod classic 160gb. Despite the description saying it would work i had no such luck. I tried it on different USB ports, both USB 2 and USB 3 and also on 2 different devices (laptop and PC). Product looked well made and sturdy but no good for me. Have had to return it to Amazon for a refund. Only 3 stars all round as I cannot comment on it's usefulness elsewhere. I'd say that the product description in respect of iPod classic 160gb is wrong!

FIRE HAZZARD BEWARE
Do not buy. The cable burnt out and the plug was red hot. Fire hazzard. Absolutely disgusting. I have reported this to trading standards.
