Silverline Centre Finder 200mm Capacity (380687)

Enthusiastic amateur diy’er This is a great little gauge, I bought it at the same time as treating myself to a woodturning lathe and although I was able to find Centres the ‘old fashioned’ way this does the job instantly and probably more accurately. I read a review before buying which criticised the quality of the plastic used and have to disagree, this gauge is made of quite robust plastic, ok I know it wouldn’t stand up to being stood on but easily takes general ‘knocks’ around the workshop

This is one of several designs for centre finders, and in my opinion, the simplest and least troublesome to use. It is well made, works perfectly and costs less than some brand-name equivalents. It's rather larger than what I expected, but that's a good thing! The smallest diameter it can handle is probably about 2cm.

Very impressed strong solid plastic, bigger than I expected which is good for many jobs, such a simple idea but so versatile' a must have in ya toolbox!

Cheap as chips but does exactly what it is supposed to do. Find the center of a solid bar. Accuracy is spot on so no complaints there. Build? Well it's a hard plastic and no doubt about it, would not take much abuse in a commercial workshop. For personal use, used by someone who cares for their tools and equipment, it will last. Good, cheap centering tool basically.

Simple to use and works well in finding centres

Does what it's meant to. It's calibrated for a certain thickness of pen/pencil so if you use a thin marking device it'll be a little off say 1.5mm but this is easily fixed by flipping over and using the other side as well, to give the left and right bias markings and hence a 3mm sweet spot. Cheap n cheerful.

The item had been used and was scratched. It was not advertised as USED.

This is really cheap, so I'm not going to be too critical... It's a little smaller than I realised (my own fault, but check the measurements!!) My main annoyance with this is that the plastic is a little thick at the point where you mark, which means that if you don't tip the pencil so that the very tip of the point is against the plastic, your line will be a little off... Most plastic rulers I've seen have a tapered edge to minimise this, but this has a square edge.

es un articulo que tenia ganas de tener desde hace tiempo pero no me atrevia a comprarlo porque me parecia endeble y un dia me decidi y cuando lo racibi me lleve una grata sorpresa al comprobar que es un articulo de mucha calidad ya que es un plastico duro y muy resistente y funciona perfectamente.lo recomiendo a todo el que este indeciso.

Prodotto dal prezzo irrisorio che svolge egregiamente la funzione per il quale è stato progettato. Il prodotto arriva in una confezione preformata ed è costruito in plastica. La foto inganna un poco perchè sembra più piccolo di quello che non è; i lati infatti misurano cira 12,5 cm e poco più di 14 cm. I profili da un lato sono più stretti per poter ospitare pezzi più piccoli mentre sul retro sono più larghi per poter centrare pezzi più grandi. Il funzionamento è molto semplice e di intuizione immediata. Si pone il pezzo, di cui sii vuol trovare il centro, appoggiato verso l' angolo acuto e si traccia una prima riga, ripetendo l' operazione per 3 o 4 volte finchè i punti di intersezione delle righe tracciate non danno l' esatto centro. In conclusione per il prezzo pagato sicuramente un buon acquisto.
