Good sense
Sometimes, listening to and understanding the blindingly obvious is all that's needed. As a low single figure golfer who has frequently struggled with consistent putting over the years, this book has changed the way I look at this vital area of golf. Almost immediately after reading, the theories on mindset have had a positive impact on my scores, and I would fully recommend.

Good "bible" for the most important part of anyone's golf game!
I have other books by Bob Rotella and they generally follow a pattern. That's not to say the books are no good as the central message is spot on. Most golfers should know by now there is no "magic" answer to our woes, no piece of kit that will guarantee shooting low single figures every time we turn up at the club (if there was we couldn't afford it anyway). As Bob Rotella explains exceedingly well it comes down to the goings on in the area between the ears. The book suggests ways of ensuring a positive and confident outlook on behalf of the player and actions one can take to optimise the process of attaining that state of mind. I play off a 12 handicap and have recently started to have problems with my putting, following the advice has improved my putting results and I'm in no doubt that if I were to put more of the suggested effort into this area they would improve further. Good writing style and advice one can't dispute - its a question of "just doing it" to coin a phrase.

The best golf improvement book EVER!
The best book about golf I have ever read. Read it over 18 months ago and it really improved my game, especially my putting. Recently started putting poorly for about a month and realised I was over complicating things, so I re-read this and started to do the simple things again. I'm not exaggerating when I say that overnight my putting improved again. I've read a few Bob Rotella books, all are very good, this one is the best by far and so easy to apply the methods. Trust in 'Uncle Bob' and your putting will be a revelation!

No one tells you this stuff
I’ve had many putting lessons, with various coaches and the concepts in this book were not discussed with any of them. I always thought there was something deeply wrong with my technique and I just needed to ‘practice’ I read this and it all made complete sense. Felt much more confident putting and saw improvements in the very next round. I will be ruthlessly implementing this book forever more. If you thought you were destined to be an awful putter - get this book

Excellent
I have been playing golf for 20 years. However some of those years I may have only played once or never. A year ago I decided to join a club and try and improve. I had been pretty constant at a 28 handicap but actually playing to 28. Great camaraderie at North Downs Golf Club. I bought this book and I am now down to 24. I was cut after having scored 38 then 41 points. Even if I don't always putt as well as I should if I think back to the book I can relax and improve. Could not recommend highly enough.

An easy read with lots of context to back up a simple but effective concept
The only downside to this was the repetitive nature of the 'stories' and examples that Dr Bob provides to validate his theory and assertions.

A little repetitive. But some good points.
It was an ok read. I think I should have read Golf is not a game of perfect first. It has helped me with putting. Not missed any short puts in the two I have placed since!

Great book, really. It just feels as if the message could also be transferred in a quarter of the pages.
