Thus book has been a great favourite with all my grandchildren and I have been reading it constantly as each child has come along! The bold illustrations and colours are attractive to little ones and the wonderful rhythmic verse with each illustration just bounces along and is loved by all the children. They love to join in with the last line on each page - 'they work all day'. There are lots of vehicles and features to find on each page and other stories can be woven around the illustrations.I couldn't recommend this book highly enough for any small child who loves big machines. My only regret is that it is no longer published in a hardback version - I'm not sure how long a paperback will last, given the heavy use it will receive!

Boys and girls alike will enjoy this colourful and well illustrated book. Very cleverly put together storyline which makes reading the book very enjoyable. My grandson loves it

Was one of our sons’ favourite books when they were little and we have kept it in our loft! Bought this for a 3 year old and hope he loves it as much . Our boys still remember some of the rhymes from the book almost 20 years later! Some of the rhymes are a little strange, but a good book overall for anyone , especially if they’re mad about anything with wheels!

This book is absolutely loved by the children at my nursery. When our first copy was over used I just knew I had to get another 😃

My two year old loves this book, I’m sure I know it my heart. Nice repetition and simple explanation of each vehicles purpose, also a nice bit at the back to find all the vehicles asleep.

Bought this for my 2 year old boy for his birthday in December. I have lost count of how often we have read this, he requests it several times a week and his big sister who is 4 also enjoys it. The words have a lovely rhythmic flow and there is repetition on every page so they can join in. The pictures are lovely and bright and eye catching. On the last page, all the vehicles that have been mentioned in each page feature. My son loves finding each of the different ones and it has increased his vocabulary.

Our son is just under 2yrs old and is obsessed with this book. It's fun to read and I cannot believe how quickly he became obsessed with it. He especially loved learning each piece of equipment and then seeing the real thing here and there. He yells, 'Dig dig!' and then the actual name of it (crane, bulldozer, etc). This is a book I'll keep forever because I have so many great memories reading it to our son. I love every single part of it!

I really like the colours and drawings in this book. It's a sweet bedtime story. My 16 month old son really likes the pictures and rhymes.
