Great Coverage
Great paint to use - needs a couple of coats but at room temperature, you get very good opaque coverage - ensure the paint is stirred well before use.Used it on plywood and even on smooth melamine finishes. One thing to note is that on melamine finishes, do 2 to 3 coats but ensure on your last coat you brush the wood diagonally so the brushstrokes are diagonal. The reason is, I've noticed that if you try to chalk with a chalk stick in line with the brushstrokes, the chalk doesn't stick well at all. It however does stick when chalking at 90 degrees to the brushstrokes as the strokes provide the mini-ridges and the friction to allow the chalk to stick and be more 'white' (if white chalk). This is because of the glossy/smooth finish of the wood - not the fault of the paint. Also bear this in mind if painting smooth plastic sheets too (acrylic etc).So by painting the wood diagonally on the last coat, you've got diagonal brush-strokes meaning that with general chalking (letters/writing) you'll get friction via both axis and a better result with the chalk. On plywood and more rough wood finishes it wasn't a problem at all - brushstrokes didn't matter at all especially with just 2 coats as the wood's roughness was still present and hence the chalk stuck no matter what. And I don't think it'll be an issue if you use a foam roller as the dimples in the paint should provide the friction (in theory). I'm old school and prefer brushing as it wastes less paint and it's always a cleaner job.I don't think it's much of an issue with these chalk pens - it's moreso with sticks of normal chalk.Great paint otherwise! The material will dictate the method but friction/roughness is needed for chalk to stick - that's the moral of the story! For durability/longevity I can't say anything yet but after several months on a few planks of wood, the paint is still solid after a lot of chalking and wiping. Looking good! Truth be told, you're likely to drop one coat on top to refresh the surface once in a while anyway. Main thing is the paint doesn't chip/come off once fully dried/cured.

Good paint
Used this to paint old classroom cupboards which had seen better days. After a quick sanding down to remove years of varnish, it went on well and dried quickly.A few weeks of use, covered in chalk drawings and writing, it is still looking good.

Smelly business
The paint is extremely easy to work with. Covers nicely, dries quickly, but smells very badly. I didn't smell its scent during the application, but a bit later the smell became so strong that my son couldn't sleep in his room for 3 nights. It's still a very good product and I do recommend it, just keep in mind the need of a good ventilation during and long after the application.

impressed: water resistant, easy to apply, works with chalk
I am very imprssed so far. I got one can to paint a large (about 2.5 by 1.0 meters) piece of plywood to make a blackboard of. I used up about 3/4 of the can, and it was enough for 2 coats. I applied the 2 coats 30 min apart. The pain is very thick, it felt very satisfying to apply. There was very little smell, which was a major positive, too. I liked that it's water soluble, but once it cures it becoms water resistnat. I wiped the board with a wet sponge, and no paint residue was left on the sponge. If you have left marks on the floor, make sure to wipe them ASAP, b.c. once this paint cures, it only can be sraped off, it gets a plasticky texture upon curing. ALcohol and water did not remove it from the floor, and I did not dare try more harsh solvents, as they would ruin the floor as well.
