Good product, good price
Use in a 20 year old magnifying circlite bench lamp in my workshop. Broke the last tube with the recoil of a solder extractor gun, but got this quickly and at a sensible price. Worked first time, good steady light, nice daylight colour (useful for reading resistor colour bands, true colours).

Good bulb - but too bright!
I really like the bulb and it is as advertised... daylight!But as the rest of my lighting is warm white 3000K, and this is really bright daylight, it really stands out.Perfect bulb if you're looking for a daylight bulb! (my mistake - I needed warm white!)

It fits the magnifying lamp I bought Forty-two years ago.
I bought my magnifying lamp from one of our dental supply company in 1980. The bulb has worked fine until it went out a couple of weeks ago. The dental supply company did not know of any replacement bulbs for this laght and the only ones who might , I was told retired two years ago. So this was a problem.After much research for the correct size and wattage I settled on the Sylvania Circular 8", Daylight 865.Fitted with no problems at all. Works perfectly.

Cheap replacements that don't last!
This is the second bulb to be returned!Both bulbs lasted less than a week.Original one I had was made in Thailand and were energy rated A, and I'd had for several years before it gave up.These are now made in China and are energy rated B, and both gave up within a week.They become very slow to light up, and do not reach maximum brightness.I believe there is a problem in the manufacture of these items, or at the least, with this batch.Would not recommend to anyone.
