Good quality and design
Good value. The container is airtight and looks durable. It is easy to open and close. It holds a large quantity of cereal and saves space in cupboard. Shown with all contents of cereal packet Pleased with my choice

Great containers but lids prone to breaking on hard floors
I love these containers as I want screw top in various sizes that will fit easily in either my fridge or on shelves in cupboards and being prone to dropping or knocking things on the very solid tiled kitchen floor I needed to avoid glass. I have a collection of these and my only gripe is that the lids are not as durable as the main body. That generally bounces but the lids if they hit the floor direct tend to split or fragment . So far I’ve not discovered a source of replacement lids which leaves me with several topless canisters as I move lids round to the sizes currently in use.

Sturdy, uniform storage for breakfast cereals
I use three of these for storing breakfast cereals on top of my kitchen cupboards and they are perfect for that. The container is made of durable, clear plastic and claims to be airtight (it's certainly more airtight than an opened box of cornflakes). The lid is held on by four wide, hinged clips and there is a 7cm diameter dispenser hole in the top, with a closure that clips firmly into place. The closure can also be soft-locked into an upright position for easy pouring. The body of the container has side indentations on the front to aid grip and it tapers slightly towards the bottom, so several of them could be stacked when not in use. This size is sufficient to hold one large (500g) box of cornflakes.

Cereal Dispenser 3.9ltr
Firstly, I have to admit that for the reason I bought it, being to contain cereal, then no in my view a container like this is not necessary. Or at least the cereals I use being Kellogs All Bran (or Morrisons own alternative), Weetabix Crunchy Bran, any brand of bran flakes, any brand of muesli. I open the packets and commence to eat them daily so effectively the cereals are not stored for any real length of time. On that basis the cereals will remain in their packets with no problems. As far as cereal go, I imagine that they would come into their own in regards to 'stickier' sugar coated type cereals where open packets can cause the cereal pieces to bind together (I could be incorrect but that is my thought anyway). I have other containers of similar size and the reason for buying is that you can contain maybe 2 packets of cereal in 1 container where with boxes there is space over the height of the boxes doing nothing and the container is taller so bigger in capacity. Summary, if you can run to the cost and you want a comparitively effective 'seal' then I recommend Lock & Lock. Thank you, DPF.

Great but don't dishwash or wash in very hot water
These are good. I use them to store home-made oat milk. They say not dishwasher safe but I tried it anyway as I was tired of handwashing and I didn't mind if they went a bit misty - they totally deformed. So don't do that. Fair enough they did say. I also lost another one when I poured in some hot water to soak out some residue in the bottom - same deal: deformed the bottom. They have writing embossed on two sides and the indentation (on the inside of the container) is harder to clean that if it was smooth. Very good seal at the top although again at the expense of making that area harder to clean. Holds 1.3l as stated.

Missing seal for the circular flip lid. A common issue?
Purchased two, both missing the blue seal for the circular flip-lid, thus not airtight, rendering it pointless.... Judging by others pictures here, this is a common problem. Returned.
