Good price for a solid product
I am happy with this purchase. Appears to be strong and robust. Has and a digital code locking /unlocking system and keys in case you forget the number or the battery dies. There are bolts to secure the safe to a solid surface eg. The floor or cupboard shelf. I haven’t actually used the safe yet but will be needing to in the next few months so it it packed up in the box.

Seems to be a very good safe.strong and easy to use.my only concern is should there be a cover over the red button on back of door.or is it missing.with out a cover the code might get Pushed axadently..

Excellent for the price
This is a good solid safe that is sufficient for most household needs. Now there are some reviews here that say the safe can be unlocked by tapping the top. This is based on YouTube videos that use safes produced by inferior manufactures. You should treat these reviews with the same reverence as you would from someone who has reviewed a film without seeing it. This safe cannot be opened so easily. There are ways to break into this safe (I have done so). First, this safe is made from soft steel, so an Angle Grinder or similar tool will cut through it like a knife through butter. Second is the method I used. Take a hammer and cold chisel, smash the front of the safe off and (more difficult) remove the barrel lock. Insert one’s pinkie finger and with a bit of jiggery pokery the mechanism can be freed to unlock (this is also on a more realistic YouTube video). Both of these methods take a lot of time, make a lot of noise and require suitable access. Hardly ideal for a stealthy amateur burglar. Of course any professional thief worth their salt would just use a barrel lock pick and be done in seconds. But no safe is (eh) safe from a professional thief. If you are worried about such things then buy a much more expensive safe with a cash rating and up your insurance. On the whole this safe is excellent for the price and I recommend it for what it is intended.

Looks solid but different model received
When we have received this safe we've realized that the model was different compared to the one advertised on Amazon's web page. The model that we've received is actually this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yale-Small-Sized-Electronic-screen/dp/B000T5K3Z8/ref=pd_sim_diy_1 Very strange mistake coming from Amazon, but anyway we've informed them about this mistake and hopefully they will change the details soon. As for the product, the safe looks good and feels solid enough considering this good price. It is not a professional one so don't expect miracles but it should do the job well if you follow the instructions. For the moment I won't use the PROS and CONS system because I have to start using it for a while and after that I will post my results here. Before purchasing this one, I was also looking at this safe: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yale-Locks-YFM310FG2-Medium-Fire/dp/B0049EPNWI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1331368825&sr=8-8. I had the opportunity to check this one out in store and I have to say that I was impressed with the quality of the product, but that comes with a price. It arrived in a beat up box suggesting it might have been returned before. In order to open the safe a key is needed and this simply didn't work. The whole thing was shabbier than I expected. Given Yale is such a well known brand this was a surprise. I'm guessing they decided to go down-market at some point in their recent history.
