My wife and I are in the process of painting our basement (ourselves) and without this product I wouldn't have been able to paint 5 doors at the same time because of space. Our basement is already finished so we had to use the extra space in our garage for our sprayer. Out of the box, stackracks are really easy to set up (highly recommend watching the various YouTube videos before you begin) easy to use, and made things go a lot smoother. The only challenge we faced was that our doors were of different widths so in order for them to stack on one another and pivot with enough clearance, we had to compensate for those differences. Before I installed the stackracks, I had all of the doors on top of one another (on my saw horses) I lined up the edges and marked 2 inches inward and drew a line straight down. That was the side in which my doors will pivot. On the other side, I measured 2 inches inward on the smallest door and used that as my mark for the other side. I wouldn't be able to pivot from that side because while it was 2 inches on the smallest door, it turned out to be 4-5 inches inward on the largest. My only negative would be that they are on the pricey side compared to other products. However, I was impressed buy the quality/durability and can tell they are built to last.

This product has been a life saver for my husbands construction business. We order one set just to try out but immediately realized how great they were working out and decided to order a second set. Works really great for drying a lot of rows of painted trim. We just cut scrap pieces of 1x2’s all exactly the same length (very important) so we could stack them up. They lock in perfect when done correctly. And they hold steady! great product.

Overall these are great. I had 17 doors to paint- here are my observations and thoughts. To use these effectively you need two people. That wasn’t an option for me, so I will say, it’s possible to use these solo, but without being able to stack the freshly painted doors. I was able to very carefully flip the doors myself, but it was precarious. I painted a mixed bag of swinging and sliding closet doors. Each width door presented its own process, but ultimately you need to anchor the pivot stack rack (hand for smaller width, foot for wider doors) and carefully lift the other to top center, and then carefully lower. The supplied screws are insufficient. Just toss the and use something stronger right away. Pre drill the screw holes in the door to avoid splitting the door. I tried to use the supplied screws on a 32” solid wood door (luckily it wasn’t painted yet) and while I was just lifting to center the pivot stack rack lifted and the whole thing went crashing down. The supplied screws all bent, and split one corner of the door (which I was able to glue and clamp back together). It’s tricky to get the right tension on the screws- too tight and the stack racks won’t move freely to rotate. Too loose, and they can make contact with the painted surface. I tried solo stacking- it can be done… but only once the paint is dry enough to handle. Otherwise don’t count on it. Screw tension is also a concern here. In reality, this ment I could really only paint two doors at a time, which was ok, cause I could only really prep two doors at a time. They’re great- I wouldn’t not use them. But ease of use solo is low.

Make finishing work much easier and keeps things out of the way with the stacking

I had 4-36 inch interior doors that I wanted to pre-finish before I took them to the job. With these little tools I was able to put a nice spray finish on both sides of the doors in a relatively short amount of time. These were solid core doors so they were pretty heavy and you definitely want to have Help flipping something like that over and stacking them but with a little care they worked great. I wouldn’t want to use them on cabinet doors because of the hole that it leaves in the bottom and top edge of the door, but for Standard interior or exterior doors that’s not really an issue. They are definitely a little pricey but they are well-designed and get the job done.

Work as intended. The only complaint is the quality of the screws provided being a bit too flimsy and bend easily.

This is a great tool. If you paint just a few doors or a lot. The stak lifts the Doors off the floor so you can use a fan to speed up drying time. You can only paint three doors at a time with one package.

These are wonderful! We used them to stack doors that we needed to sand- made it easier to work in a smaller space without doors having to be in the way while we sanded each one. Very durable, sturdy, and easy to use. Highly recommend getting some for your next project.

As much as like these, I did find them expensive but innovation comes at a cost I suppose. They were easy to set up and easy to use. A little unsteady on the larger heavier doors when flipping over but I was doing it on my own. Overall I found them most helpful, would have purchased more if they had been less expensive…. I had a household of doors to do!!

These brackets make painting doors so easy. They are worth buying and I do recommend them. The easy flip feature works great and is very helpful.

I've used them on a couple jobs now. They work as advertised and make painting easier. It definitely helps save room on the job site. I also use them to stand door on their side so they won't warp.
