Im renting. Does this peele easily or does it leave that sticky adhesive residue?

It peels off easy and clean. I wouldn't install it over something with chipping paint, as it will pull more paint off, but it works great on a countertop or even ikea furniture, if you're looking to class up the place. ;)

How does it stand up to wear and tear (water, children, ect)?

EXCELLENT.....I can be rough on things, and so far, it's top notch. This paper is THICK...hell, the backing you throw away was ridiculously heavy duty!

Is this very white? I need a very white marble with gray veins, not a gray marble.

It's white. I used it on my desk which is a little off white and the marble looks like a true white against it.
