Fender Speed Slick Guitar String Cleaner

Makes sliding bar chords much easier...really worth a try if you've never used, which I hadn't, it before. And apparently makes strings clean and last longer...worth checking out for a fiver. Added 5.4.2021 Dries out very quickly so a rather expensive bit of kit to use daily.

Prolongs the life of my strings by months, genuinely! It can't recreate the feel of brand new strings after the first couple of weeks but it gets close for a substantial amount of time, and leaves the fretboard feeling slick and fast. My gripe is that the cleaning pad naturally gets dirty with the string grime after a while, but the solution on the pad does a great job of holding it instead of just putting it back onto the strings. I haven't tried reversing the pad yet to use the other side (it sits in a plastic casing), but whether you're supposed to do that, I'm not sure. Worth a try though! Great, easy-to-use, a logical and quick way to clean your strings!

It does work well. Dries out a bit quick. I squeeze the Dunlop string cleaner on it then use it. Probably would work with a bit of lighter fluid on it.

I had a Planet Waves XLR8 Lubricant and cleaner and realised it was nin years old although I think it still worked. However, I binned it and ordered the Fender Speed Stick and it seems quite dry and doesn't really do anything much. Easy enough to use but I'm disappointed that a Fender product isn't as good as I had hoped

Great on the initial application, cleaned up the strings fine and provided a nice playing feel. I thought I'd found a good replacement to my usual purchase of GHS Fast Fret. Turns out, even with the lid securely fastened, the lubricant dries out very quickly. I came back to it about 2 weeks later for a clean, totally dry ... waste of money ... back to GHS Fast Fret for me.

Great product, first time I've ever used a stei g cleaner, and it works wonders. Just don't use too much or strings will be too greasy

Cleans my guitar strings and fingerboard well with a minimal amount of effort. I expect all Fender products to be of the highest quality and can say that this product lives up to those expectations. I gave five stars for "scent", and it should be noted that the product has no scent that I could discern which is fine by me, I just wanted a clean neck and strings and that is exactly what I now have. P.S. I am in no way affiliated with the Fender Co.

Bought for my hubby......He is the guitar player.....Found a great improvement after cleaning.....Strings felt good and cleaning was so easy......He was very happy

Nice, quick fix to give new life to old strings while you're waiting to change to new ones. You just slide the applicator down the neck. No mess. At the moment, I can't say how long the treatment or applicator lasts, but I will definitely consider buying Speed Slick again, both for electric and acoustic guitar strings.
