Addis 2.5L Compost Caddy - White & Metallic

This compost caddy looks very stylish on the kitchen counter. Nice size just what I was wanting. Looks very smart on the counter top. You have to squeeze the inner tub to get it out which can be a little tricky sometimes.

I love the overall design and appearance of this white caddy. It’s quite small at 2l but more than big enough for my household. Easy to keep clean with a lift out inner ‘bucket’ (grey). The inner bucket sits snugly inside the caddy and this holds the liner bag in place securely. So what’s the catch? Quite literally the hinge for the lid. That’s the catch. It sits on the inner bucket and clicks the bucket into place when you replace it after emptying. The hinge makes it very fiddly to get the inner bucket out. I have to prise it out from under the hinge. I know it doesn’t look like much but it’s difficult because there’s nothing to grip and very annoying. I imagine that it could be an issue if you had impaired mobility in your hands. But then perhaps it’s just me! I’ll persevere with it for time being because I don’t want to waste money on buying another. But I can see that at some time in the future I’ll either get fed up with nearly ripping out my (very short) nails every day or the hinge will snap. It’s just a question of who snaps first. Me or the hinge. Minus 1 ⭐️ because of the hinge.

I use this for food waste more than composting. My general rubbish bin is smaller than my recycling bin because it used to smell with uneaten cat food and general waste, and despite the bag only being half full it had to be emptied. Now that I use this little caddy for food waste my bin no longer smells and can be filled before needing to be emptied. It’s a compact caddy but it’s big enough for my needs, and my kitchen doesn’t smell of rubbish. I had to buy 3l composting bags for this because I couldn’t find any other bags small enough, a bag smaller than 3l wouldn’t work because it probably wouldn’t fit over the top of the caddy’s bin. You can hide the bag once put in the container. It does what I wanted from it and looks great. It wouldn’t suit a family though.

This bin is amazing, it sits in the kitchen out of the way yet it's easy to grab to put my veggie scraps and tea bags in. If you don't have much food waste then this is a great size. 10l bags fit nicely in it. The lid pulls off so you can get the basket out of you need to clean it. You can either have the lid at a 90° angle or pushed right back. This bin really made my day when it arrived

This is a great replacement for the oversized , horible grey food bin the council gave us. Its stylish, not too big for a worktop, solid and keeps smells enclosed. Thoroughly recommend.

Fijn GFT bakje voor eenpersoons huishouden. Pluspunt dat alle onderdelen in de vaatwasser kunnen.

Questa pattumiera per umido è davvero molto carina. Io la tengo sul piano della cucina, sarà perché ho la cucina bianca ma fa la sua figura. È molto comoda la maniglia per spostarla, quando là si va a svuotare. Si può facilmente svuotare l’interno, molto comodo, e può essere messa in lavastoviglie. Io l’ho già lavata diverse volte ed è rimasta uguale. L’unico difetto è la mancanza di un sistema di areazione con assorbi odori, presente in altre pattumiere per umido, ma che però hanno prezzi ben più alti. Io finora non ho riscontrato problemi di odore, ma è anche vero che era inverno e la temperatura mi ha aiutata. Per me è molto valida, la consiglio sicuramente.

Exactement ce que je cherchais : un bac pour compost joli, solide, discret, couvercle étanche (odeurs), qui trouve sa place dans un coin du plan de travail. Une fois compris le truc, le bac intérieur s’enlève facilement et passe à la machine à laver. J’utilise des sachets à compost qui s’intègrent bien. Idéal pour petit menage / solo. Pour une famille, pourrait s’avérer trop petit.
