Q: what metal is the spinner made of ..will it rust or fade also does it have ball bearings?

Not sure what the metal is but I have had mine for a good six months and it shows no signs of rust or fading. No there are no ball bearings in the spinner. I love mine.

Q: Does this have batteries

Yes it has, it's a rechargeable battery and gets charged by daylight/sunlight the Gemini also has a switch to switch off the lights so that the battery can charge if you require to do so. When you first set up the Gemini you are recommended to put the switch in the off position and leave for 24hrs ( check instructions) until battery charges. I am not sure if the battery can be replaced or not. Ours works well light switch always on and lights come on every night just when it's getting dark and on until the early hours and have had no problems

hi It's all metal(with a painted finish) apart from the glass globe and the solar panel of course. As for how much wind it can withstand I can't say however mine was out in weather too windy to put washing on the washing line and it was fine ( though watching the fins spin might induce travel sickness) Hope this helps

No nothing to attach it to fence and I think would not be able to spin in wind
