Sony CMT-SBT20B Hi-Fi System with CD, Bluetooth, DAB and FM Radio - Black/Silver

For the cost this has excellent sound quality. The system itself looks modern compact, and matches perfectly our furniture lay out. Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend.

Great stereo for the price, with one or two little niggles stopping me handing out a fifth star. It's easy to set up, but suffers from a lack of presets (only numbered 1-4 on the handset meaning an annoying fumble for the other saved stations) for the DAB. It's a looker - brushed chrome and gloss black glass, nice LCD. Bluetooth is a great addition and picks up my iPhone every time without any hassle (it doesn't require being re-connected after initial set up.) The weirdest thing is it forgets which radio preset it was on when put on standby and always reverts to the first saved station (at least, I can't find anything in the instructions that changes this.) Sound quality is good, certainly not great; the unit lacks bass even with the settings ramped up, and it won't rattle the windows but for a smaller room it's fine (I'm using it in a kitchen). Final annoyance is the CD mechanism engages whenever it comes out of standby so you get that distinctive 'crunch' as it gears up, even if you want to just use Bluetooth or radio. Other than those things, the price is good for what you get and I'd mostly recommend this.

Bought for my mum and she is very pleased with it. Easy to put together and the sound is fabulous. Just what she wanted.

VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS ITEM. FOR A PRODUCT COSTING NEARLY £200.00 I EXPECTED BETTER.SOUND QUALITY IS TERRIBLE ,NO REAL BASS MAKES A HISSING SOUND WHEN LISTENING TO AN AUDIO BOOK . I THOUGHT SONY PRODUCTS WOULD BE REALLY GOOD,I WAS WRONG. AS I AM UNABLE TO RETURN IT , I SAY TO YOU, SAVE YOUR MONEY FROM A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.

My initial problem with a missing remote was dealt with promptly and courteously. Very pleased with the system.

Good compact unit and fine sound

I was looking for a cheap mini hifi to use in a holiday lodge and chose the Sony because of the decent reviews it's received and the low price. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound and features of the system. It paired with my Galaxy phone virtually instantly using NFC. I'm not a hifi buff but I like the sound of the system, it plays all my CD collection, USB and music on my mobile. The only drawback I can find is that there is no headphone socket.
