Easy setup, super secure grip, multiple adjustment options
Just set this up, after giving up on less secure wooden stands. This thing is industrial strength, yet easy to set up, & very easy to adjust. Took a little fiddling to decide best setup for me. But now that’s done, my stitching is going so much faster; no more constant stopping to adjust & keep hoop from wiggling. Hoop is securely locked down, but can be flipped over to see back of work without releasing hoop.

Works like a charm to hold your stitching.
What can I say it's the perfect stand to hold my scroll frames and my stretcher bar frames. I can even accessorize it . It is perfect for me sitting in a chair and it is adjustable higher and lower and I can flip my work upside down to see the bottom and work there. Very high quality steel does the job.

Lowery Workstand
This stand is a little pricey but I can tell you it’s worth every single dollar!! I have bought numerous stands over the years but this one is hands down the very best stand I’ve used! My only regret is not having purchased it sooner and that’s no exaggeration!! I’m an extremely satisfied customer!!! I’m an older person and I was so relieved it is super easy to put together and also easy to move around.

Room saving, aesthetically pleasing, great quality, great price, perfect functionality!!!
I love how this stand takes up little room yet is sturdy enough to hold my scroll frame! The design makes it so easy to work on the back of my project as well ad get it out of the way when I get up out of my reclining chair. The only slightly negative thing I can say, is that because of how my chair is designed I couldn't place the stands plate underneath it so the weight distribution was off. I simply placed a weight on the base which fixed it right up. However if you sit on a couch or chair that you can slide the plate under that shouldn't be a problem for you. Overall, I LOVE IT!!!

Worth the money
I was having so much pain from holding my cross stitch projects so I splurged and got the Lowery stand. It’s expensive so I hate to say it, but it is WORTH IT. not only is my pain gone, but I am now able to stitch faster by using both hands. It’s small enough to tuck out of the way when not in use while still doing a great job. It would need a weight on the base if using it freestanding, but it is very stable by just tucking it under the couch. The clamp works great even with my q-snaps! (Photo evidence attached lol) My only complaint is that the arm doesn’t reach out very far. My couch has a wider than average armrest, so my work is not directly in front of me. I don’t see this as a huge issue since it will be easy enough to buy a new bar and bend/cut it to my needs (perks of a DIY household!)

Almost perfect
I did a lot of research before buying this stand. I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis, so it's difficult to hold my larger pieces. I tried all of the cheaper wooden stands, and they just didn't have the strength to hold my scroll frames. This stand also has a very convenient and easy way to flip your work to the back without removing it from the stand every time you need to finish a thread. I couldn't find that with any of the wooden stands. The stand is sturdy and simple. I am disappointed though that it will not hold my qsnaps without an extra attachment. There are some tricks I read about online, but I haven't tried them out yet. Fortunately I do not need to spring for the longer arm either. I'm sure it's all worth it, but economically this is not a great time to be splurging on much of anything. The stand actually came all the way from the UK and it arrived faster than things in the US do! Even after paying shipping costs it was cheaper than what some US based sellers wanted, so double check before you buy. I would recommend it to anyone that cross stitches or embroiders and can't or doesn't want to have to hold your work in hand all the time.

Love love this stand
I am a cross stitcher and for larger projects have always used a wooden universal stand with a scroll frame. However, I like to stitch while sitting in my Lazy Boy chair with my feet up and I couldn’t do that with the old frame. A friend recommended this one and what a difference!! The stand holds a scroll frame very well, you can lower or raise it to your desired height and the best thing is, you can swing it in front of you from the side, so I can sit with my legs up. It is easy to swing away when you want to get up, doesn’t take up much room and is easy to flip to the back of the project when you want to finish off or start a new thread. The price at first gave me a little pause, but it is absolutely worth every penny! I can use my scroll frames in it without any problems. I LOVE this stand!
