Q: what are dimensions of pot

I haven't measured it but it's about 100mm high by around 50mm in diameter.

Q: How long will the cheese keep before opening?

Couple of months I think but Stilton cheese is “off” anyway

Q: what is the best before date?

I could not see any "Best Before" recommendations on the container. Stilton always has a fairly short shelf life and once the wax seal has been broken, the clock is ticking. The rule of thumb that I use if there is no marking is to use the cheese within a month and to keep it in the fridge. Clearly, Stilton has mould growth built in but any evidence of furry or unusual mould growth would cause me to throw the cheese out immediately. This cheese is pretty expensive and frankly, you might be better walking into your local Waitrose and getting a wedge of Cropwell Bishop to suit your needs. The cheese is best at room temperature and getting enough to meet your needs before it starts to go off is always the best option.

Potted Blue Stilton cheese

This is an excellent cheese and when potted stays soft and delicious. If you like Stilton then it’s a must to try this - you won’t be disappointed.

Expensive, nice cheese but small.

The stilton is great, just a shame that it is now 200g not 300g but the price still goes up.

Very good Stilton

The Stilton, as is always the case with Cropwell Bishop Stilton, is excellent but having the cheese in a pot is frankly very expensive at £19.50 per pot. Especially as the pot is really of little future use. In future, I shall buy a wedge of Stilton or a small truckle.

Ordered this for Christmas in plenty of time and 2 days before christmas was told that there was no stock and the order had been cancelled. Very disappointing as there was stock when I ordered. There was such a delay between ordering and the order being cancelled - i could have made another plan.
