This is really quick to set up and start cooking, beware as it really is quick! Very efficient use of charcoal, clean as there is little smoke and easy to light. It is probably best for good quality meat rather than goo-coated fatty items, these leave it quite difficult to keep clean, although it does clean up very well. It is easy to assemble, the instructions are clear and accurate, the device looks really good on a table-top. I have no hesitation in recommending this.

We bought one of these from the London Boat Show. We liked it so much we bought another one for my daughter and son-in-law. This size is only for 2-4 people but it works really well. There is a larger size for 6-8 people. My wife and I tend to use this to barbecue instead of our gas one. The Lotus grill is easy to set up. quick to get going, cooks everything very well, easy to clean and it is portable. you can take it on a picnic. We wouldn't be without it. Love it

This was a gift for my hubby ,who has never owned a barbecue because of health scares and "it can only be used a number of months in the year,so what is the point! " He absolutely loves it! It was easy to set up. I couldn't source the lotus charcoal and gel at a decent price ,so bought high quality charcoal locally and a well known brand of gel.The charcoal that was too big and had to be broken in small bits. We worked out that one large bag will last us for years,it is so economical to run! It all worked absolutely fine and warmed up real fast.I am hoping it will continue to work efficiently,as I have read reviews on fan issues. Fingers crossed! Update 2020: This barbecue is still going strong 3 years on, no fan issues, but has revealed a very expensive flaw a you have to keep buying the inside bit a it disintegrate rapidly over one season. At around £18 for replacement. It is expensive long term.

Heats up quickly and delivers a constant heat which cooks your food rather than burning it. Couple reviews about lack of spares but found these guys had a few locally in U.K. like the charcoal container [...] Can't fault it for what it says it does :-)

Must be idiot proof as I'm hopeless normally but managed to use this successfully first time. Adjustable fan is great to avoid overcooking. Food tasted great and also easy to clean. I use it at home but portable so good for camping too.

The best grill ever! So easy to use and to clean.

Had high expectations of this expensive BBQ (also purchased a glass lid from other dealer) but having used it frequently over a 6 week caravan holiday I found it dissapointing. Unless you use Lotus charcoal (expensive) which is basically very small charcoal chips, it is difficult to light and burns out in approx 20 minutes. Alternativly you can break down lumpwood charcoal with a hammer - extremly messy and dirty. The food sits proud of the BBQ top consequently in anything like a wind the heat is taken off the food, I would say a wind shield is a must. Cleaning was straightforward but not easy. Food I found did not have the charcoal cooked flavour (in practice you are cooking with radiant heat from the bowl not directly from charcoal) all in all too many negatives unfortunatly. I have gone back to the Cadac.

Tried this out at the weekend, and even though we didn't have the gel and used the liquid lighter fluid it was fine. I wasn't confident, thought we'd just be able to cook a couple of steaks only, boy was I wrong, we cooked loads! Definitely will be recommending this to my friends and family.

Punkten kann der Lotus Grill ganz klar in Verarbeitung und vor allem bei der minimalen Vorlaufzeit zum Aufheizen. Der Lotus Grill scheidet mit seinem System die Geister. Viele sind von diesem schnellen und einfachen System begeistert - wiederum Andere meckern über die gesamte Bandbreite des Systems. Vorweg muss ich sagen, es kann der perfekte Grill sein, man muss allerdings wissen was einen erwartet und vor allem, wie man den Grill betreiben muss. Geliefert wird der Lotus Grill bereits komplett montiert und im Transportbeutel befindlich. So lässt sich der Grill bei Nichtgebrauch auch sehr gut aufbewahren, ohne das er verdreckt. Die Qualität vom Lotus Grill ist durchweg als sehr gut zu beschreiben. Die Materialien wirken hochwertig und die Verarbeitung ist makellos. Der Lotus Grill besteht vom Aufbau her aus mehreren Teilen. - Die Außenhülle, in diesem Fall in der Farbe Anthrazit. Darin ist auch der Lüfter, dessen Drehregler und das Batteriefach untergebracht. - Die Innenschale - aus Edelstahl - hier wird das Fett aufgefangen. - Der Kohlebehälter, dieser ist in drei Teile untergliedert - Untersetzer - Hier muss die Brennpaste aufgetragen werden - Kohlebehälter - Hier muss Holzkohle eingefüllt werden - vorzugsweise die Grillkohle von Lotus. - Deckel für den Kohlebehälter - Das Grillrost - aus Edelstahl - Das Grillrost wird mittels Schnappern an zwei Seiten arretiert an der Außenhülle. Alle Teile lassen sich entnehmen zur besseren Reinigung. ********** Die Inbetriebnahme *********** Es werden für den Lüfter vier AA Batterien benötigt. Diese sind im Lieferumfang dabei. Weiterhin wird Brennpaste benötigt, sowie Holzkohle. **********KEINE BRIKETTS !************ In meinem Fall verwende ich die originale Holzkohle von Lotus - kostet im Handel ca. 7,90 EUR für 2,5 KG. Soll speziell für den Lotus Grill Raucharm und heißer in der Verbrennung sein. Als erster wird nun das Rost abgenommen, um an den Kohlebehälter zu kommen. Der Untersetzer bleibt im Lotus Grill und wird mit der Brennpaste großzügig eingeschmiert. Den Kohlebehälter habe ich mit Lotus Holzkohle bis zur Oberen Grenze des Behälters gefüllt. Größere Stücke Holzkohle habe ich zerbrochen, damit sie in den Behälter passen. Nun wird die Brennpaste angezündet. Eine leichte blaue Flamme ist erkennbar. Der Lüfter wird nun mittels Drehregler auf volle Leistung eingeschaltet. Der Kohlebehälter wird nun auf den Untersetzer aufgestellt. Als letzter Schritt wird das Rost wieder an der Außenhülle mittels Schnapper arretiert. - Fertig ! Durch den Lüfter wird die Holzkohle extrem schnell angeheizt. Man riecht sofort den Duft vom typischen Holzkohlegrill - die Rauchentwicklung ist dabei wirklich sehr gering bis fast gar nicht vorhanden. Nach ca. vier bis fünf Minuten ist der Grill einsatzbereit und heiß genug. Man sieht dann bereits die Holzkohle stark glühen. Wichtig, der Lüfter muss auf voller Leistung bleiben, um das beste Grillergebnis zu gewährleisten. Die Außenhülle wird im Betrieb nicht heiß. Man kann den Grill jederzeit anfassen oder den Standort wechseln. Auch unter dem Grill wird es nicht heiß, der Grill kann also ohne Probleme auf einem Holztisch etc. platziert werden, ohne das man sich Gedanken machen muss. Der Lotus Grill steht bei uns auf dem Gartentisch und wird als Tischgrill im eigentlichen Sinne genutzt. Hier spielt das System seine volle Stärke aus und kann mit voller Begeisterung überzeugen. Der Vorteil, ich kann ähnlich eines Raclette Systems, mein Grillgut einzeln im Sitzen zubereiten, während ich schon bereits gemütlich Salat oder anderes Beiwerk essen kann. Bei voller Beladung des Rostes, würde ich ca. drei Personen als Maximum ansehen. Für mehr als drei Personen sollte man den Lotus XL Grill nehmen. Mein Grillgut ist je nach Dicke sehr schnell fertig. Dünnere Stücke Fleisch sind in kürzester Zeit fertig, die Hitze ist deutlich ausreichend und man muss schon aufpassen, dass nichts verbrennt. Die Hitzeverteilung ist dabei sehr gleichmäßig auf dem Rost. Selbst am Rand habe ich noch eine sehr gute Garung des Grillgutes. Je nach Fleischart, kann es durch sehr viel tropfendes Fett, auch mal zu kurzer Flammenbildung kommen. Dann aber wirklich nur eine kurze Flamme, die innerhalb einer Sekunde auch wieder weg ist. Bei der richtigen Verwendung des Lotus Grills, ist auch ein dickes Steak kein Problem. Ich habe ein schönes Steak ohne Probleme ca. 4 Minuten von jeder Seite gegrillt und hatte ein tolles saftiges Ergebnis, dass dem Geschmack eines normalen Holzkohle Grills in nichts nachsteht ! Die nutzbare Grilldauer liegt bei vollem Kohlebehälter bei ca. einer Stunde - Lüfter dauerhaft auf Maximum vorausgesetzt. Die Kohle verbrennt dabei fast komplett im Behälter, so dass nur geringe Asche zurückbleibt. Natürlich kann auch Kohle nach gepackt werden und die Grillzeit so erhöht werden. Das Lotus System verbindet für mich das Grillerlebnis mit Holzkohle und den damit verbundenen Geschmack, ohne erst eine halbe eine Stunde mit Vorbereitung der Kohle zu verbringen. Natürlich ist dieses System für eine große Grillparty oder eine Großfamilie nicht geeignet - das sollte man vor dem Kauf wissen. Dieses System hat seine Stärke in der schnellen Einsatzbereitschaft und der Mobilität. Die 2,5 KG Holzkohle von Lotus reichen für ca. 15 Durchgänge - bei maximal vollen Behälter. Als kleiner Tipp, zwischen die Holzkohle ein wenig Räucherchips geben und dem Fleisch so etwas "Rauchgeschmack" verleihen. Natürlich ist dann die eigentlich Rauchfreie Grillmethode etwas eingeschränkt - der Geschmack dafür super. Die Reinigung des Grills ist anschließend sehr leicht, da alles einzeln entnommen werden kann. Die Fettschale kann ohne Probleme auch in die Spülmaschine. Das Rost ist auf Grund der kleinen Größe sehr einfach im Spülbecken zu reinigen. Das war es auch schon ! Schon ist de Grill sauber und wieder einsatzbereit.

He esperado a añadir comentario a poderla probar a conciencia y estoy quedando muy satisfecho, se puede utilizar aunque haga viento, sin problemas, cosa que con la que tengo más grande siempre si hace viento, genera mucha humareda y esparcimiento de las cenizas. Decir que la puedes utilizar sobre una mesita o soporte rigido en cualquier lugar; resultando muy practica de uso, casi no hace humo y tanto la carne como las butifarras, de las cuales yo creia que no quedarian tan sabrosas, todo lo contrario, da un sabor a barbacoa muy sabroso, a diferencia de cocinar a la plancha. Vale la pena ! Sobretodo vigilar de no hechar gran cantidad de aceite, que eso si que provoca llamarada si se tienen cosas alrededor que puedan incendiarse; incluso con poca cantidad puede lanzar llamaradas fuera de la lotus grill. Por el tema limpieza, muy practico, fácil y rápido de limpiar, puedes ponerla en el labavajillas como muestra el video o puedes usar espuma para limpiar las parrillas, probe con la espuma que tenia para limpiar las parrillas y queda también muy limpia. Recomiendo su compra a quien vaya a utilizarla con frecuencia, para amortizar su precio, claro

Scrivo questa recensione dopo 4 mesi di utilizzo. La confezione arriva ben imballata su pacco Amazon, con l'imbottitura in cartone utile a proteggere eventuali colpi subiti durante il trasporto del prodotto. Una volta aperto l'imballo, troviamo la scatola sigillata originale dove al suo interno troviamo una custodia ben curata che contiene il Grill Ordinato. La custodia è di buona fattura e risulta fondamentale per poter utilizzare anche in qualche ambiente fuori porta il LotusGrill (sono presenti 2 ampie maniglie laterali per facilitarne il trasporto). Liberando l'articolo dal suo imballaggio, risulta subito di ottima qualità: in alluminio leggero ma robusto allo stesso tempo.. nessun pezzo ballerino grazie alle due cerniere presenti sui bordi che uniscono la scocca colorata alle varie parti presenti al suo interno. Scomponendo LotusGrill troviamo: - Una ciotola in alluminio trattieni grassi (utile anche alla propagazione uniforme del calore); - Una base in alluminio da inserire nell'apposito basamento presente sul fondo del grill (sul quale verrà collocato l'anello di combustibile che azionerà la carbonella) consiglio Lotus Grill LG Gel Combustibile Inodore per Barbecue, 200 ml; - Il contenitore della carbonella con il tuo tappo (bisogna inserirne il giusto dosaggio, se non si chiude correttamente non riuscite a chiudere le cerniere per fissare la griglia); - La griglia da 32cm con al centro il proteggi fiamma, utile anche a cucinare verdure. Sul guscio del nostro LotusGrill è presente un regolatore retroilluminato che, una volta azionato, attiva la ventola e ne segnala l'utilizzo attraverso un anello led blu. Sul fondo dell'articolo è presente un vano per contenere le 4 batterie di tipo AA presente nella confezione (cosa carina, anche esse sono marchiate LotusGrill). Una volta posizionata la ciotola, l'anello di combustibile, la carbonella all'interno del cilindretto e fissata la griglia, per poter utilizzare il barbecue ci vorranno circa 10/15 minuti in modo tale da sviluppare la temperatura necessaria alla cottura della carne (e perché no, anche del pesce). La durata della carbonella, una volta azionato il Grill è di circa 1 ora utilizzando la ventola al minimo. Per facilitare la pulizia, ma soprattutto evitare le fiamme che si creano quando cola il grasso dalla carne, consiglio di cospargere il fondo della ciotola in alluminio di sale grosso (soffoca la fiamma che si potrebbe creare ed evita che si opacizzi il fondo). Confesso che ai primi utilizzi, cucinando carne leggermente grasse, al momento di cambiare il lato di cottura il grasso ha iniziato a colare facendo sprigionare delle notevoli fiamme all'interno del barbecue.. che.. se utilizzato in un luogo chiuso qualche preoccupazione la fa avvertire. Basta qualche piccola accortezza per fare in modo di limitare/eliminare questo problema come detto in precedenza. Per quanto riguarda il fumo, dipende dal tipo di carne che si vuole cucinare.. ma indipendentemente da quello un minimo di odore/fumo viene prodotto durante la cottura. Il punto di forza di questo articolo è la sua PULIZIA: - E' interamente smontabile; - A PARTE IL GUSCIO COLORATO, il resto si può inserire tranquillamente in lavastoviglie; - I residui di carbonella (se utilizzata come nel mio caso la Lotus Grill LG BK Carbonella di Faggio) sono veramente minimi. Dopo varie grigliate, affinando la tecniche di cottura, devo dire che è veramente un barbecue molto valido e cuoce molto bene i vari cibi. Spedizione puntuale da parte di Amazon

Enfin pouvoir faire un barbecue sur la table de son salon à Paris, c'est le kiff ! Quasiment pas de fumée, selon les aliments bien sur car si la graisse coule sous la plaque il faut ouvrir la fenêtre. Pratique et facile d'entretien. Au niveau sécurité il est top aussi car sans avoir fait pirotechnique il est très bien conçu. J'en suis déjà à mon 10ème barbecue. Brochettes, cotes de porc, bœuf, etc parfait
