A good quality chair and excellent value
I bought this to cope with a broken ankle 2 years ago and liked it so much I have kept as a computer desk chair. A practical mobility aid if you are in plaster. A comfortable chair and excellent for encouraging good posture when you are able bodied! It is well made and robust, and very good value. Two caveats: 1. Make sure you thoroughly tighten the bolts holding the wheels - some are not sufficiently tightened in the factory -they work loose and you risk taking a flier when a wheel falls off without warning. 2. Push backwards, never pull the chair forwards with your feet or you risk tipping the chair.

Great delivery, nice product, good price
Delivered next day for no extra charge. Easy to assemble and good range of height, though a little on the tall side for me. Much less pressure on my hamstring that I was having problems with when using my previous chair, and a nice range of motion with a comfortable seat.

Absolutely brilliant for the price!
I was told by my physiotherapist to get a saddle seat, but not to buy one of the really expensive ones. So after looking around for a week or so I decided on this one based on the reviews and price. I'm a tall guy, so I was unsure if it would be high enough for me. But it definitely is. I'm about 6Ft 1 and it goes higher than I need it to. It does encourage you to sit with a straight back, but it doesn't do it for you. You still have to consciously keep your back straight, but it's much easier on one of these stools than it is in a normal office chair. I was surprised at how easy it was to put together, and how sturdy it is as well! The gas lift is great. I wouldn't recommend rolling around on it too much, because I would imagine the wheels might not last too long. But if you're just using it at your desk, or on a hard, smooth surface then it's great. Unfortunately I have to agree with what the other men have said though. My physiotherapist told me the reason these stools are so good is because it allows you to sit with your hips forward. But this can get quite uncomfortable if you're a man on this stool. The front really does point up and you feel quite squashed, which can make you stop pushing your hips forward for some relief. But if you're on a budget, I'd recommend this for sure. My back pain during my working day has improved dramatically thanks to sitting with my back straight. It's just evening times that my pain comes back because I don't use this chair for anything else!

False economy
Having had this stool for quite a while, I can now honestly give it a low rating as overall it wasn't worth scrimping on price and going cheap. Apart from the fact that it's cheaply made, it really is not as comfortable as the more expensive and wider angle designs, which can really help your posture and relief lower back strain. If you have no back problems and don't spend much time doing desk work, then this might be a good option for you for occasional use. For me, I began to have back issues having a desk job and sat on flat chairs, my lower back and neck were under strain, this stool did little to relieve that, although it is still slightly better than normal office chairs. Overall, it really is not worth buying, far better to skip this and buy the more expensive ones if you are serious about saving your back.

Not good for long periods of usage or for backs
Nice stool. Easy to put together and I have found on the whole comfortable. I have used for 6 months plus. However, as a result of long usage (7-8 hours a day) I found this has aggravated my lower back pain and caused numbness and discomfort in my saddle region. I saw my back consultant yesterday who advised at that a chair with back support is necessary for long term use as no back chairs over emphasise your posture.

Fantastic budget option
I bought this stool after being advised to get a saddle stool by my surgeon, following an operation on my back. Initially I nearly 'fell off my stool' when I saw that you can pay over £500 for a similar stool with a leather seat! This is a fantastic budget version. It was very easy to assemble, and it is of good construction for the price - it could probably use a seat cover to protect the vinyl, as I imagine it's probably not going to be very hard wearing......but for a tenth of the price of leather you cannot go wrong. I'm not sure that this seat would be very comfortable for a man........ It does make you get up every so often for a walk around, as your bum does go a bit numb after 20 mins or so, but that's not a negative as I am not supposed to sit for longer than that without a break anyway. Another point for the girls..... You cannot really wear a shortish or tight fitting dress/skirt as you have to sit 'astride' the seat - it is not so great for low cut, tight jeans either! But this would be true of any saddle stool. Overall a great buy, the stool keeps your back in the correct positon and makes you remember to get up for a break from sitting. I am thinking of getting another to sit on at home.

brilliant chair
this was a bargain for the price. I am a therapist so use this for when i need to sit to treat a client, it is really sturdy and rolls around easy on the carpet flooring. comfy to and light enough to take with me if i need to. very pleased with it

Great stool for desk work.
Hello, here's my opinion of this stool. It's great. The reason I bought it is a massage therapist said it would be good for my posture. In my job I sit all day. I've tried a kneeling stool and one of those giant inflatable balls but both of them gave me lower back ache after a while. This however is comfortable AND more importantly allows me to maintain good posture. Highly recommend.
