I've purchased three Anemometers, lately, and donated two. This one I'm keeping because it's absolutely perfect for my needs, which is basically checking blower speeds and temperatures at HVAC registers. In addition to being extremely user-friendly, here's a few things I really like about it: - One touch button to switch from Celsius to Ferenheit. - One touch button to turn on the back-lit display. - No screws to remove in order to change the batteries. Also, it's VERY accurate. I just love everything about it. Oh, and great price. But I don't think the quality could be beat at any price.

I have used other anemometers but this one works best for me. It very easy to change to the speed measurements from metric to english. The speed indicators correlate well with other actual measurement. I like the fact that it uses 3 AAA batteries rather than the button batteries in others, resulting in longer usage without changing batteries.

This little gadget is exactly what I needed for testing handheld and tabletop fans. I wanted something inexpensive, compact, and uncomplicated, and it delivers on all three. It lets me switch to meters per second, my preferred unit, and it remembers that units setting every time it powers on. The Max function locks in the highest recorded speed, which is perfect for how I test airflow. I place my fan directly against its wind velocity sensor and move the fan around a bit, until the max reading stops changing. It’s quick, consistent, and makes comparing fans speeds simple. For example, this clip‑on fan topped out at 6.5 m/s (see photo).

This is a great value alternative to the big brand name. It measures wind speed, temperature, and humidity with reasonably accuracy and good responsiveness. It's well-built, sturdy, and the industrial design of the case itself is excellent. There is no way to disable the speaker beep without modding the unit. I contacted customer service to ask, and no such luck. Fortunately it's easy to take it apart by removing the bottom 4 screws, which allows you to remove the detachable battery compartment--that's a nice touch. It connects to the board via 2 spring terminals which take 4.5V DC. The speaker is the large round component at the top left of the board, and below is a transistor powering it. To verify you have the right trace, short that contact to the negative spring terminal, and you'll hear the beep cut out. If you cut the trace from that transistor to the speaker with a razor knife, it will disable the speaker beep which plays on power on/off and every key press. By doing this, you're definitely voiding any warranty, but it's the simplest way to permanently disable the otherwise obnoxious beep. Overall, really quite nice, but if you don't want it beeping constantly, you'll need to mod it. It would also be easy to swap out the orange side panels for some 3D printed alternatives or make an adapter for a mount. Really, the industrial design end of this is great for modding.

Nice little unit. It's compact and very light. Display is large and easy to read (backlit too). The included carrying case is soft and attractive. Having the temp and humidity measurements built in is a nice bonus. The first unit I received had a defect where the fan blade would grind if held upside down but Amazon swapped it out instantly and effortlessly. The replacement unit was perfect.

I've had this anemometer for a while, and it's held up well. Seems accurate, display is easy to read. It's bigger than the expensive name brand unit, which can be a plus or minus. Bigger, easier to read display, but not pocket sized.

This instrument is super tool for homeowners and anyone else not requiring proffessional level instrument. This is a "Cadillac" compaired to my older unit. I would purchase immedieately if I needed another one.

Acheté pour mon travail ( jardinier - paysagiste, élagueur et conducteur d'engins de levage) et mes loisirs ( drone , skysurf , tir à l'arc à poulie ) , j'ai enfin trouvé le Graal ! Mon '' précieux '' est précis sur les 3 fonctions ! J'ai testé l'anémomètre avec les 3 vitesses de mon ventilateur qui tourne de façon irrégulière ! Chaque variation est fidèlement retranscrire sur l'écran . La température : exactement la même que sur mon thermomètre utilisé pour mes orchidées , idem pour l'hygrométrie ! Étant également radiesthésiste ( entre autres) , je sais déjà qu'il restera aussi fidèle que moi !!!
