is this suitable for dimmable transformers? 230-volt to 12-volt?

Hi, NO - this dimmer is NOT suitable for low voltage/12V or transformer based lights. We do say in the product information further down the listing page: "Not suitable for LEDs, 12v lighting systems, transformers or fluorescent lights" (we'll add this to the bullet point information at the top of the page too). You might need a specific transformer based dimmer that takes 240V in, but only outputs 12V.

Can I use this dimmer with 1 x 10W 220V dimmable LED lamp?

No, it does not present enough load.

The product has 5 points for attaching wiring - block from mains has 3 points, block to lamp has 2. The flex is 3 core. How is lamp block wired?

Connect live & neutral. You don' t require earth since the lamp is only low power and it is earthed ifrom the main block.. Or change the lamp flex to a 2 core.. Mine works fine.

In description it says "60w - 300w" is this the dimming range?

That will relate to the wattage of bulbs it will operate with - tungsten or halogen. The slider will take the light output of bulbs in this range from full output down to zero. Note that some bulbs (esp. flourescent ones) will not operate with a dimmer; this info should be on the bulb packaging.
