Awesome Light!
I LOVE this light! the sound response works very well and the motor is very quiet! the only thing that I dont like is when you press the off button on the remote it just clears whatever program you were in but does not shut the light off, small price to pay for a freaking AMAZING light!

Not for gigs but good for home use.
The media could not be loaded. This unit is entirely made out of plastic which is why I wouldn't recommend this for professional use but if you just want to have fun at home then this is a good option. The plastic doesn't creak or anything but it is entirely ABS plastic so I wouldn't be too rough with it. It does get warm but hasn't gotten hot so I'm not too concerned. The remote is pretty cool and this unit can be hooked up to DMX lighting rigs if you did want to go all out. It isn't very heavy but has enough weight so it doesn't slide around.I put it in a large room by itself to show how it performs. The largest wall is on the right and is a dark blue which absorbs a lot of light. The ceiling in that room goes two stories up, all the way to the roof. There is no attic in that part of the house. The room is at least 17 feet long and I forgot how wide but needless to say, it is a decent sized room which makes it perfect for testing lights like these. The remote does exactly what you think it would and works quite well. It has different lighting modes and turns the unit on and off. This is great for people that don't want to rig up a bunch of lights to a DMX controller and program them. Just turn the light on with the remote and control it through there. The light uses a wheel with templates to change the shape. This is a cheaper and simpler way of doing things but works pretty well. The fan isn't silent but most songs at any kind of volume level should be enough to drown it out. It isn't like a leaf blower or anything. It is a fun gadget to add to your home stereo system but as I mentioned before, it is all plastic and shouldn't be taken to clubs or anything.

Would Be Great, If...
...it didn't have some of the sloppiest craftsmanship I've ever seen on an electronic. There is some kind of sealant/caulk-like stuff around the lens, and it's all sloppy. Doesn't show well in pictures, but I took some. I took video, but there's music playing in it, so I don't know if it will post here. I'll try.U' King is usually in the better, pricier range of lights in its field, so I'm surprised. It's not the only one, either. I have another U' King that came with some weird goo bumps that won't come off. So, I think whoever designs them has their head in the right place, but they may have issues in manufacturing and quality control staff. I do have several other U' King lights that I like, and have only found two with problems so far.Hopefully they get their quality control issue under wraps, becaise I do like this brand. This one is kinda cool, because it shoots shapes onto the wall (which has to be a little disatance away, or the shapes don't show up). Its reaction to sound seems a little off sometimes. I guess there is a way to adjust that, but I'm not a DMX wiz yet, and don't know how to program it.So, my verdict is that the craftsmanship needs some work, and I think the simplicity of this light warrants a downward adjustment on the digits. My two cents, anyway.

Super Cool and full functioned Party Light
The media could not be loaded. This is a professional quality stage light that will be great for DJs and dance parties. It has a bright beam, lots of features, mounting hardware, a remote control, and printed instructions. The light has a color wheel that projects different colors and shapes on the wall, ceiling, or dance floor. There are also professional connections and controls that will allow the light to be controlled with a computer along with other party lights. The light has an automatic mode that will randomly move the light, change colors, and change the shapes. It can also be programed to move to ambient music. In the custom mode, you can use the remote to change the colors and shapes manually, and move the position of the light.I have logged over 20 hours of use on this light and have had no problems with it.It is lots of fun and really brings any dance party to a new level! The only comment for improvement is that the instructions are printed small and difficult to read. Larger print and clearer instructions would make this product more enjoyable.I highly recommend this light

Works well. Does not project any ambient lights.
It works as a standalone and the sound activated mode may need adjusting depending on your situation. I changed it to 99 and it constantly moves so 99 may be a bit too high sensitivity.Since this only projects a "spot" of lighting, the lens may need to be focused for your venue. I don't know if there's an automatic method to move the head. I moved it manually with the remote control and twisted the lens to get the projection in focus.Without a controller, this does a decent job of moving the projection with the music/sounds. The sound sensitivity will need some testing to get it to move and change colors to your liking. And you may have to fix the focus.I would've liked to see a line input for the move to sound function. The way it is, it uses a mic and the mic picks up sounds other than just music...

Love these lights! We have two
For a small band, these work great and add so much more than stationary lights can! Very exciting movements and color changes just with the sound option. We have ours connected via dmx, but you can get them to sync and run off just one remote when you connect them with an xlr cable. These two are so good, we might even get two more to really amp up our show! Great portability in a small package with a lot of bang for your buck. Make sure you have a smoke or haze machine to really amp up the effects!
