One of the standout features of the Thrustmaster T16000M is its accuracy. The joystick is incredibly precise, allowing you to make small adjustments and movements with ease. Great sticks for star citizen
what's not to love about these sticks. They are very sturdy, extremely responsive in game and have 32 buttons that can be mapped out to any key you want. I found them easy to customize in star citizen. They make flying so much more fun and they give you a level of control, you can't get from a keyboard and mouse. If you are looking for a starter set of sticks that won't break the bank these are it. I've tried a cheaper set and it only lasted a few days. These ones are very sturdy and well built. I expect them to last for a long time. They are setup one for each hand when you get them although it comes with the adapters so you can change them around and have two right or two left handed ones, if you wanted to share with someone instead of using two sticks at once. I will say there is a little bit of a learning curve going from keyboard and mouse to joysticks. That said, it doesn't take long to get used to them and all the buttons. They are so customizable, you don't have to use anything else while in flight mode. I don't recommend for running around on foot but they weren't meant for that. I do however, recommend them for flying.

Awesome for the price
You can't beat these for the price point. They perform on a similar level to VKBs. Some downsides: the base. The buttons on the base suck, the slider is horrible, and all are in very I convenient positions. That being said I don't even touch them. Anything I would want mapped to them I set voice commands for using VoiceBot. Other downside is it could use a couple more buttons or roller/hat switch in the thumb area. Could go a long way. Not a huge deal though. As far as stick movement they are smooth and buttery and feel very nice. Triggers are kind of cheap feeling, but again, for the price point it's no biggie. They are very sturdy too.

I guess you're playing the lottery on whether your brand new set will actually have smooth motion.
I bought this set for dual stick use in Elite Dangerous & Star Citizen, and single stick use in X-Plane 11, DCS World, & IL-2 Sturmovik. These sticks are okay, but I've got some conflicting opinions about them. First of all, regarding my headline. Only 1 out of 2 of the sticks that I received actually have smooth motion. The one I use for my left hand, when I pull back, it doesn't want to stay centered. It wants to move to either side. I can live with it for LH use, but had I ordered a single stick and it arrived like that I would've sent it in for a replacement immediately. Ok, for some positives! The actual stick is designed pretty well. The inclusion of LH/RH thumb & palm rests for both sticks is a nice touch. Personally I use the pads with no thumb rest on both sides. It's most comfortable for me that way. Sensitivity is good. If both of your sticks arrive fully functional with smooth motion this is one of the best dual stick combos you can get for the price. More negatives/room for improvement: -While there is good spring tension, the actual spring function mechanism slaps the stick back to center pretty forcefully. This is just by design. More expensive sticks can glide over center without that jolt you get get with these. -Button placement on the base could be way better. When the outer buttons are both behind the stick and hidden from view from the palm rest, its easy to imagine better button placement. I don't even need the throttles so I'm considering flipping both sticks 180° so the buttons and logo are facing forward. It's actually a decent base when facing that direction. -Lighting. This is hardly even an issue but the 4 second light on the base is so pointless. It would be nice if there was an option to just keep it on or toggle it off entirely without having to open it up and snip a cable. There is an instructional on youtube by user Family White Gaming if you would like to disable it. Anyway, Thrustmaster has done an admirable job introducing one of the first single box-dual stick joystick combos to the market. With space sims gaining lots of traction these days, it's exciting to see more companies releasing these new products, and competition driving. I will continue to enjoy using these sticks until Virpil gets their products back in stock, but again, getting two flight sticks from a company like Virpil is roughly a $600 investment, so you can't really compare the two. After trying most sticks on the market, I would say your best options in this price range are the Thrustmaster T16000M or the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. 7/10 would recommend.

Great beginner set
I play games like Construction simulator and Out Of Ore with them and I have them setup to run the equipment like you would in real life. They’re a great beginner set I’m looking to upgrade to the farm sticks mainly for the extra buttons and controls on the joystick itself

Wow
So. I went from a Saitek x52 HOTAS which is supposed to be one of the "best." I fought with it for nearly 3 years and used it not because I liked it, but because it was $200 and I was stuck with it. Decided to give this double joystick a try and within minutes had Elite Dangerous set up and running very nicely. The Saitek joystick was like a arm wrestling match. These are perfectly smooth in all directions. My only complaint is that the buttons on the base are in back of the joysticks. This means if you want to use the outer base buttons without taking your hand off of the joystick you have to reach around with the other hand. These would be absolutely perfect to me if the buttons were in the front on either side of the throttle and if the buttons lighted up instead of the middle orange plastic, which seems useless to me. The software was easy to use for this type of product and Windows 10 automatically knew the difference between the left and the right. These are separate so that means 2 USB slots are used up.

Low Cost High Performance.
The only downside to these sticks is you want more buttons on the sticks themselves. This isnt a real downside because these sticks are cheaper than most on the market and they work very well. There is a lot of plastic so if you are a heavy handed gamer you might break them, but if your generally calm and controlled then you shouldnt have any problem using these.

Okay budget sticks, they tend to have degraded performance after a year.
These are an okay introduction to flying, or space simulation games hardware, but they do tend to have some component breakdown after six to eight months of hard use. I upgraded to the VKB Gladiator NXT Evos and have never looked back. With these, you will probably end up with some stick drift, as the sensors on the Z, X and Y axis lose some of their sensitivity after the mentioned period, leading to stick drift and unwanted inputs. The twin sticks aren't the best either, as most of the buttons are on the base, so don't work as well if you are flying twin stick and need access to more than the 4 buttons on each stick.

Value Star Citizen sticks, requires additional $$$ for mounting plates - recommend pedals
These are some of the most common joysticks in star citizen - a lot of SC players use these as a starting point and move onto VKB or Virpil but the T16000 are the most loved/hated sticks in the verse. Right now i'm using them with "Thrustmaster TFRP Flight Rudder Pedals" while these T16000M sticks don't really require first party software or even middleware to use, the pedals do really need middleware to make them work properly but the dual stick system feels a lot better with pedals once you tweak them. Jonathan Winters on youtube has the best video on pedal configuration. Warning: buying mounting plates for these cost almost as much as the products themselves sometimes more, obviously you can't put joysticks on your desk in your face between you and your monitor, that would be stupid - mounting options exist for both your chair or desk and require assembly. Consider not just the price of the sticks but also the mounting system and ensure the mounting system is compatible, these have a hefty base. But hey if you can spend $$$ on ships why not mounting systems?

Almost Perfect
Not much to say here, an excellent product. The only complaint I have is that the factory grease/lube was not sufficient. I mainly used this for Construction Simulator in an excavator so I purchased some Nyogel 767A to dampen the joysticks. Works 100% better.
