Simple easy fix for the dishwasher door slamming down. The string broke on our dishwasher, a quick youtube of the fix found this as the issue. This part is cheap and did the trick. Buy with confidence.

Easy fix, works great and was easy to install.
I was very surprised to find replacement cables for my LG dishwasher. The door fell to the floor fast and the sound it made was like a spring on the garage door when it broke, only not as loud. My husband said you can replace the springs, who knew. The next day I pulled the dishwasher out and found it wasn't the springs but the cable from the spring to the door that was broken on one side and the other side was failing as well. I googled replacement cords and found these on Amazon. I order them right away and for safety I put a temporary knotted cord back in its place. The new cords came in just a few days and now my dishwasher door works like it did when I first got it.
