How long is the bag? Does it allow for storage of the tool with a 6Ah battery fitted and of a few extra grinding wheels as well?

The bag is good sized. You could leave the battery in and have plenty of room for more. We kept the oscillating tool in the same bag. Now we use that bag for the 7 1/4" circular saw.
