The brace has got a composite/plastic strips that support the ankle joint.
I never rate anything 5 out of 5. However it would be injustice if I don't give it for this product. The product is exactly what it claims to be.I suffered a stroke 19 months ago. I should have bought this brace a lot earlier.I have complete loss of control on my ankle and I am able to walk better because of this brace.Thanks Tynor and Amazon.

Not sufficient support
If you're looking for a solid ankle support this is not the one. There's a small thin plate that runs around the outside of the ankle so not enough support for ligament ruptures. Would be good for just regular sprain.

Better than what I got from USA
Pros- metal based sturdy support- still soft; doesn't hurt- not costly (I had purchased fashionex which was useless. This is just 150 more, but better than what I had got from USA)Cons- the strings have started to get loose after 2 months of daily usage. It's still usable, but maybe I'll have to get another one in next few months
