Great adjustable table that you can use anywhere in your home!
This is a great table! It arrived yesterday and I was able to assemble it easily. I actually enjoyed putting it together because all the parts were so well-made and of high quality. Even the bolts felt nice! This table was packaged extremely well so that it arrived from a cross-country trip completely undamaged, even though the box showed signs of rough handling. Upon opening the outer box, I was happy to see that every piece was individually bagged, and protected by Styrofoam (which also helped to maintain the box's rigidity). I took each piece out to carry downstairs to our laundry room. When I had removed all the metal pieces, I saw that the hardwood top was packaged in its own box! This was very thoughtful, and helped to ensure that the top would not be damaged during shipping. The instructions were clear (you can also find a PDF of them on the manufacturer's web site) and showed pictures of the whole process. The hardware was in its own bag, and they also included a spare bolt and washer. Even though there is a tool included to tighten the bolts, I used my own 1/2 socket wrench to make things easier. I took my time and admired the quality of the parts and assembly method. It was very easy to build upside-down, and then I had help from a family member to pick it up and turn over. Of particular importance for me was the solid hardwood top, and I was not disappointed! It is about 1.5" thick and beautiful. Because of the nice packaging, there was not a scratch or blemish on it and looks very upscale. It is also very heavy. Most of the product's weight is found in the top, and I also had help carrying just that one piece down the steps to the basement. The bottom of the piece has metal-reinforced places where the leg bolts attach, which made it easy to put the bolts in by hand most of the way. By the way, don't tighten the bolts completely until you get all the leg pieces attached, so that you can make sure everything lines up. The legs and support piece are made out of a lighter-weight metal than I was expecting, but they seem to be sturdy. They are painted with a gray, textured material and have a pleasant feel. There are four adjusting screws with large handles that go through each leg from front to back and screw into a nut welded onto the back of each leg. It is definitely easier to adjust them when the table is turned upside down, so try to find your preferred height before turning it over. At the bottom of each leg, you screw in a leveling foot. I was amazed at the large size of the bolts on them! Most of them went in easily using the provided tool, but I had to work a little harder on one that had to go through a nut with too much paint on it. I'm very pleased with my purchase of this table, and highly recommend it to anyone that wants a high-quality, well-made adjustable table for use anywhere in your home. Pros ==== + High-quality parts + Easy assembly + Clear directions + Great packaging! + Wonderful hardwood top + Large adjustment range for height Cons ==== - It's not quite as rigid as heavier alternatives, but I appreciate the easier handling from the lighter weight. - The included tool works, but doesn't make it easy to tighten the bolts; use your own socket for that.

Seriously solid work table
This is a substantial, solid work table. The wooden tabletop is thick and heavy and the adjustable legs framework is solid. It's sleek and nice looking as well. It weighs a lot, so you need two people to unpack it and set it up. It's got heavy duty adjustable legs with rubber bottoms to avoid scuffing your floor. They work well. Assembly is straightforward and simple. It even comes with a wrench to tighten the bolts. I have only two minor criticisms. The first is that, like many other people, mine arrived with two pretty big dents in the wooden table top along the edge. Given how heavy this thing is, it's perhaps not a surprise. There's a lot of Styrofoam padding in the shipping box, but despite this it got dinged up. So you should probably expect it to come with a few dings and dents. The second is that you have to flip the table upside down to adjust the height. So make sure you have it right the first time. You don't want to be fiddling with the adjustable legs if you can help it. This thing weighs like 125 pounds. These are minor issues though. I'm giving 5 stars for the general build and quality of the table itself. I'm using it for a workbench and I love it.

Great quality, heavy duty, tall and long
Only had it a week but loving it so far. I'm 6'5 so I was looking for a workbench that accommodated a taller standing height. At its max height of 42" this bench is plenty tall. The solid wood is a nice touch and great for heavy duty work - downside is it looks so nice I don't want to ding it up! Super easy to assemble, I did it myself in 20 minutes. Just be advised this thing is HEAVY. You'll probably want a partner to help flip the table right side up once assembled. Adjusting the height is simple but not exactly convenient, as you'll have to flip the table upside down each time you want to change the height. I only wish this came on casters instead of rubber feet - The rubber feet add some stability for sure, but would be nice to have the option to move this table around as needed. That said I'm sure I can add some. Great product at a better price, size and quality than others on the market.

Workbench for cutting fabric
I recently purchased the 48" Seville Classics Desk/Table to use as a fabric cutting station. My husband and I put it together two days ago. The table was well packaged and we were very pleased with the quality of the parts. All parts were listed and present in the package. There was even an extra bolt and washer included and specifically packaged. A specialized angled wrench for tightening the bolts was also included. Although we were able to use our own socket set and wrenches for the majority of the build, the angled wrench was helpful when adjusting the leveling feet due to the limited space available. The directions were quite clear, but the diagrams are small and difficult to determine details. A 'blow-up' image of each detail would be helpful. The finished table is very solid and sturdy. The adjustable height (up to 42") and stability are exactly what I need for my cutting station. Although the height adjustment is solid and easy to change when the table is lying on the floor - table top down - it would be difficult to adjust in the upright position and may require two people to safely make the change. This is mostly because the table top is quite heavy and adjusting four legs is challenging. There was one frustration when assembling the table: There was one small weld on the interior of one of the legs that was irregular and stuck out. Because of this irregularity, the leg wouldn't slide over the appropriate part. My husband had to file off the 'bump' which took some time and took off the coating in that area. Other than this, the assembly went well and all the bolts fit smoothly into their appropriate holes. I would have rated the assembly as a 5 star if not for the weld issue and the small diagrams on the directions. I am very happy with the final product. The height is perfect for me at 39-40" and the table is very solid and stable even at this height. It also has a 'clean' look which works well in my sewing room.

Fantastic work bench for my projects
Love this table: (Seville Classics UltraHD Height Adjustable 4-Foot Heavy-Duty Wood Top Workbench Table, 48", Granite Gray) Assembly was easy with none of the parts being too unwieldy and no situations requiring more than one person unless you have concerns about being able to flip the table right-side-up after assembly. The top has a nice finish but will likely need to be coated with something durable to properly protect it as a work surface. Mine is in my study and used for computer work and electronics tinkering so it doesn't have to suffer much. The height adjustment is nice and doesn't appear to affect stability. It's the sort of adjustment meant to be set before using the table. I don't believe it's designed to be adjusted with any sort of load and is annoying to do alone when the table is upright. A welcome feature, especially at this price point. Casters would have been nice but probably would have increased the cost. Seville sells casters or you can buy any with the thread the feet use. I think they should have included locking nuts on the feet so they could be secured in place after adjusting. I'll eventually pick some up if for no other reason than to confirm my identification of the thread. If I were in the market for another table, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of these. Information on the thread type for the feet/casters: Mine appear to be a very loose metric bolt thread: M14x2 -take this with a grain of salt unless you see an update at the bottom. My metric thread pitch gauge matched up on 2 just a tad better than it matched the factional 13 (closest fractional), my major thread diameter is 13.57mm, and minor diameter 11.36mm, which is outside spec of the M14x2 but closer to that than anything else. The M12 nuts I have were visibly too small and I don't have any 9/16" NC to try, 1/2-13 was too small. I'll update when I get around to picking up some nuts to use for the feet. Thus far, it's holding pretty steady without anything to lock them in place.

Damaged In Shipment But Still Very Nice
Like so many other reviewers, I have to say this is a good bench that isn't well packed and as a result arrived in damaged condition. In my case I could straighten out a lot of the damage with vise grips and a hammer and by standing on one of the parts but the paint is permanently messed up and the wooden top is chipped and scraped and there's no fixing it. I will say FedEx bears half the blame for the way it was mishandled. They completely trashed the carton and then taped it back together with Scotch tape. They called it a "delivery exception", I call it incompetence. The assembly couldn't be easier, everything you need is included even a combination wrench. The hardware is machine bolts and washers that easily thread into pre drilled sleeves with threaded inserts, very easy to do and foolproof. It can be assembled by one person in 15 or 20 minutes. You don't need any tools but I used a ratchet with a 1/2 inch socket just for convenience. Important: hold on to that combination wrench, you'll need it if you want to install the wheels because they use a 14MM threaded bolt and you will be working in a thin space. That stamped wrench is what you need unless you have a big set of metric open-end wrenches. The top is very nice, almost too pretty to be a work bench. It's laminated maple with a urethane finish and looks like a nice butcher block. The metal components are OK, powder coated steel but like I said the finish was damaged in shipment. Too bad. The bench is very strong and stout, the 6 supporting legs seem like they could carry many hundreds of pounds, more than you could ever lift really. You'll never need to worry that it might collapse, it would take more than an engine block to make that happen. The leveling feet are adjustable and give about an inch and a half of travel and you can adjust the height to that degree. I ordered the wheels from Seville Classics and they arrived quickly and were easy to install. I recommend them if you ever want to move this heavy bench. They are 2" wide, one piece wheel, and have the 14M threaded shank which I couldn't find anywhere else. You need two sets because they come in sets of four, but you'll have four locking casters that you can install on each corner leg, two swiveling but non-locking casters in the center and two spares. Worth every penny because otherwise moving the bench is very difficult because of its weight. Go to Seville Classics online and order Item WEB270. All together I'd say this is a good bench but the way it's packaged leaves a lot to be desired. My damage was fixable, but yours might not be. I didn't ask for replacement parts from the seller, it wasn't that bad, but I'm unhappy that it was damaged.

Wonderful Work-Desk for
I wanted an adjustable work desk for the shift our Agency is doing with work-from-home options. I am a cinematographer and photographer with weekly deadlines for multi-media short doc films and PSA's. I wanted an electric standing desk, but anything in a 'reasonable' price range was way too flimsy. I CANNOT STAND anything that rocks or move, the perfect working desk would be a #500-lb electric adjustable butcher block for me. But, alas..that exists as hand-made proposition that must be postponed. I had ordered a Seville Classic UltraHD rolling 5-drawer cabinet and was blown-away by the quality and build. I ordered this work bench based on that purchase and experience. This just arrived today, and I have it set up within 30 minutes. I will have 2 large monitors mounted on an arm on this, along with a huge video editing PC. I need something sturdy, strong and that will not rock or move. I also will be rigging camera gear and doing equipment assembly and need this type of a utility function in addition to a work desk. This item exceeds all expectations. It is strong, yet the powder-coating and gleaming wood top look very clean, modern and elegant in a utility/industrial perspective. The price is incredibly good for the quality you get, highly recommended.

Incredible product - high quality, gorgeous wood top, fair price
After buying low-quality IKEA desks for a while, I decided I wanted to purchase something that was made of materials that would last and could take a real beating from the everyday wear-and-tear desks tend to suffer from. I did hours upon hours of research. I realized I wanted a solid wood desk, slightly higher than standard height, and one that was DURABLE and HIGH QUALITY. I wasn't willing to compromise on those two bits. After several comparisons of products from different companies, different kinds of wood, different bases... (I was starting to go a bit insane) - I landed on this product. It arrived double packaged (which is great, since the outer box was slightly damaged). It was VERY easy to install, instructions were very clear. The table top itself is SOLID MAPLE, and it's beautiful - gorgeous actually. It's like having very nice hardwood flooring, on a desk. The base is 100% steel construction and industrial style. This workbench was designed to take a lot of abuse. I realize it's probably designed for a garage or industrial space, but I purchased it for my home office and I couldn't be happier. As a gamer, photographer and graphic designer, I need lots of table space for all my supplies, paperwork, etc. This gives me all of that and more. 100% satisfied with this purchase.
