Doc Martin Series 10 [Blu-Ray]

I've been hooked on this show from Episode 1. The story lines, the adult writing with the hidden zingers, the English coastal seaside setting with interior photography shots are the best and especially the actors. They have given an all out wonderful performance of top notch quality. America can't steal your idea or thunder on this one (or shouldn't). It's a one of a kind. It will be extremely missed when production closes. What a gem!!!! Thanks to all behind the scenes that made this one of the greatest shows I've seen.

Doc Martin is a great physician but a damaged person who finds relationships annoying and the sight of blood sickening—literally! This comical drama (“dramedy”) is the best show—the doc is trying to establish a romantic relationship with a lot of error while doing what he does best: saving lives. The quirky townsfolk make the storylines all the more delightful and the doc does eventually get married. Fans familiar with this series will be sad to know this DVD set is the end of the show (Season 10). Purchase this and enjoy it—or you’ll have a long wait to see it on a regular programming schedule (that has been my experience with the other seasons of this show).

I got hooked on Doc Martin several years ago after friends gushed about it. (I thought they were talking about a brand of shoes!) The curmudgeonly, brilliant surgeon from London clashing with the quirky residents of a small, seaside town in Cornwall made for a funny fish-out-of-water story. The scenery is gorgeous, and the story with its dry, British humor drew me in. Each year seemed like it might be the last, but fans kept wanting more. So here we are, the 10th season. We'll see if it's truly the end. . .

Product arrived in good shape. We have enjoyed all 10 seasons of Doc Martin, watching each episode multiple times. This is the concluding season (after nearly 20 years!) and it is amazing to me that the writing and acting has always been at such a high standard!

Unfortunately it’s a crapshoot ordering British Acorn dvds. It light play in your dvd player and it might not. These British dvds I’ve learned are coded differently and don’t always play properly in American dvd pkayers. This dvd wd not play at all after viewing beginning previews of other Acorn shows. When it came time to actually watch Season 10 it would not play at all. So disappointed. We were also gifted in the past doc Martin seasons 1-9. Most of the discs played ok except there were about 3 episodes that for some reason would pixelate and even freeze. By the time we got to those episodes it was past the return period. So odd. Would like to have season 10 but it’s a risk to buy not knowing if it will play and don’t want the hassle of having to return again. Even PBS warns of the coding issue if you try to order at their web site.

It’s very sad this is the end of this series. If only US television would produce such high quality and “family friendly” programming.

Purchased Doc Martin S10 for Christmas, attempted to watch today, I share the experience of other purchasers, Acorn ads then a screen with Martin S10, no control of player. I have missed the return window, and now stuck with worthless media. Why didn’t the seller recall these defective Blue Ray dishes, too many complaints? Update 1/9/24. Successfully played on newer Sony Blu-Ray. Updated firmware on Magnavox player, but it did not help. Not counting on new updates from mfg. S9 worked great on this player.

This series is funny and family friendly.

This seller has chosen some un-named carrier that isn’t serious about delivering. I don’t recommend buying from this seller. You’ll be waiting for many weeks until you realize it may never materialize.
