Review: My Toddler’s Most-Loved Book--A Lyrical Celebration of Muslim Traditions Across Cultures - Moon’s Ramadan by Natasha Khan Kazi is a beautifully written and illustrated book that gently introduces young readers to the spirit of Ramadan. It highlights the diversity of Muslim traditions around the world in a way that is lyrical, engaging, and deeply respectful. I love how it shares so much insight about the cultures and Ramadan through engaging stories rather than instruction. This is my toddler’s favorite book. She was instantly captivated by the artwork and rhythm, and months later, she still sings lines from it throughout the day. It has become a joyful part of our family’s reading routine, sparking conversations and helping her find language to express herself. A gorgeous and meaningful book, filled with tremendous warmth, beauty, and heart. Review: Lyrical and Lovely! - What a stunning debut book from Natasha Khan Kazi! Kazi's lines are lyrical and as magical as the moon art she has created. Lines like this resonated with me: - Moon marvels as friends of different faiths share a meal to celebrate. Together, they rise like bread. - In the purple veil of twilight, Moon smiles at Earth. - I also loved when Moon speaks, "You can't see me, but I am always here for you." ---- The art is dreamy and has hues like the purple veil of twilight that will encourage readers to linger over the pages. The starry art is splendidly illustrated. I loved how the Moon looks down on Earth and each page travels to a different and beautiful part of the world celebrating Ramadan. This story felt like a cozy hug from the Moon! Muslim children today are so lucky to have many beautiful Ramadan books to choose from today. This Ramadan book stands out for its unique perspective of being told from the Moon's point of view- genius! For teachers, this book is a must-have for the classroom. It touches on geography around the world and the scientific lunar phases of the moon. Muslim children will feed pride to see themselves reflected back in these stunning pages. A lovely book that I am so glad to hold today! I cannot wait for more beautiful books from this talented author-illustrator Natasha Khan Kazi. ----- Side note my kids loved the book (there was a tiny spider they loved finding!) and I loved the diversity in the illustrations and the hearing aid.

Great outside inside
First, I must start with the outside look of the book. It looks really high-quality and well designed. The cover is beautiful and high-quality and the papers are really nice to open, written with strong writing skills and illustrated in a very artistic and cute designs. As for the content amazing story and presentation for the information. Very tempting for the kids while reading and work. So good to read for non-Muslim audience to introduce Ramadan and its activities to them. It educates about it and I loved the diversity mentioned in it and that Muslims and non-Muslims are friends and that works perfectly and very realistic for a diverse culture like the USA. Also, it showed Ramadan by illustration of different countries practices yet smart enough, not to say for example in Egypt, they do this or that she just drew the picture that represents Egypt people, but the storytelling part, which is the words covers all cultures, regardless where they are I am so happy I got this book and I will get more gifts. Update for the second year, lots of amazing feedback how amazing the book is, Jus a note i found the best grades are second to fifth I suggest you raise the age range to 11 or even 11

Fantastic book!
Our family is committed to teaching our kids about different cultures and religions. That said, I knew very little about Ramadan. This book educated my daughter and I in an understandable, easily digestible and interesting way. It also brought in other educational nuggets. Each page is a different country so you can see that Ramadan is celebrated all over the world. We pulled out our globe and identified the counties and had a mini geography lesson! There’s also a diagram of the moon’s cycle which is discussed throughout and other helpful information in an index at the end. After reading the book, my daughter wanted to learn more about the moon as well. Finally, the illustrations are gorgeous! We loved this book so much we are going to be buying copies for our daughters’ schools!

Education, fun and gorgeous!
My children loved this book! We really didn’t know much about Ramadan so it was so fun learning through this gorgeously illustrated book. There is a perfect little glossary in the back that explained some of the different terms used throughout the book. The first thing I noticed was the breathtaking illustrations. I want to hang the pages on our wall. I love how the author shows Ramadan happening all over the world as the moon makes his journey around earth. There were so many interesting and educational tidbits in it. I had bought a few copies for our school but my kids loved it so much that we had to buy more because they weren’t willing to part with theirs. The author truly was able to translate the essence of the Muslim faith into words and this books is warm and welcoming and you can actual feel the spirit of Ramadan in every turn of the page. I would highly recommend this book.

A Captivating Journey of Tradition, Unity, and Compassion
I recently had the pleasure of reading Moon's Ramadan Children's Book, and I must say it is a captivating and heartwarming tale that beautifully introduces children to the spirit and traditions of Ramadan. This book takes young readers on an enchanting journey, promoting unity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of this special time of year. One of the standout features of this book is its engaging storytelling. The narrative follows the adventures of Moon, a curious young girl, as she discovers the significance of Ramadan and embarks on a heartfelt mission of kindness and compassion. The relatable characters and the sense of wonder captured in the storytelling draw children into the narrative, making it an enjoyable and memorable reading experience.

Beautiful illustrations
I love the illustrations in this book. Each page shows moon watching Ramadan in a different country. The author does a great job of weaving in important traditions and aspects of Ramadan. The page showing people of different faiths together in the U.S. is really great. The one little thing that I was confused about is that each page lists a country (Turkey, India, Argentina, United Kingdom, Somalia…) but then the page that shows U.A.E (the country where I was born) says Dubai (which is a city). It’s a consistency thing for me, all of the others are countries but Dubai is a city. Other than that little pet peeve I love this book. It’s a great choice for your Muslim children and also a great one to donate to your child’s public school teacher and school library.

Ramadan from the Moon's perspective?! Amazing!!
Moon's Ramadan was such a fun read as it provides such a fresh modern take on Ramadan by telling the story from the Moon's perspective! This book takes you through different parts of the world as Muslims open and break their fast all the way to Eid celebrations. There's something in there to learn about every country for everyone, young and adults alike! I loved learned about the names of the different moon phases :) The illustrations show so much detail from each country, you can really tell that research was done behind each scene. It also helped that the color theme is my favorite color purple! I gifted this book to friends from different backgrounds/beliefs and they enjoyed learning about Ramadan as well! It is definitely a great add to any kid's (or adult's) book collection! Ramadan Kareem!!
