e.l.f. No Budge Matte Shadow Stick, Thrift Shop

I’ve used Thrift Shop and Cool Beans since late 2024 and recently added Out of Sight. Working 12-hour shifts in a body shop office environment, I need makeup that is as reliable as the tools in the shop. These shadow sticks are a true set it and forget it staple for my professional routine. The application is incredibly fast for a busy morning. The formula is creamy and glides on without tugging, which I really appreciate. I simply swipe the color onto my lids and give a quick dab with my finger to prevent any initial creasing. Once they set, the matte finish remains perfectly in place for the full 12 hours. The colors are true to the stick and stay vibrant without fading or migrating. Crucially for someone who wears eyeglasses all day, there is zero transfer to my frames and absolutely no raccoon effect or smudging under my eyes by the end of the shift. Even with sensitive eyes, I have experienced no irritation or watering. I typically pair these with a brown or burgundy mascara for a soft, polished look that coordinates well with my daily uniform polos in varying solid colors. These offer impressive, dependable quality at a very affordable price point. If you want a clean, professional eye look that survives a long workday without mid-day touch-ups, I highly recommend these.

I love this shadow stick. I actually use it as an eyeliner instead of a shadow stick. It has a great built-in sharpener, and the color stays on all day. It doesn't smudge and is perfect for daily wear. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll be buying this again.

I bought the dark brown, green, and dark blue. Here's the thing, the quality control over these doesn't seem precise. The brown was dried out and difficult to apply, kinda patchy but not too bad. I was able to layer it and added bronze shimmer over it to attempt to cover up some of the patchiness, and it worked alright. It's the exact brown I love to use so I'm keeping it, maybe I'll get better luck warming it up or wetting it. See photos for detail. The green is creamy, applies perfectly, and looks fairly similar to the photo however it's not as pigmented as the ad makes it seem. I applied it over white primer and it helped a little but made it look more pastel or ashy, like it didn't apply over the primer but mixed it into itself even though it was properly dry and set before applying the green. Also, still like it and will continue to try to make it work. The dark blue is a dream, I love the color. The application is a little bit between both the above, a little creamy but dried out enough to tug on application and be a little patchy. All shades stay on exceptionally well. I have oily deep set very hooded eyes and even with my go to primer and application methods that never fail me, it does still end up kinda stuck into my lid crease which is disappointing but not too unexpected for this formula. However, the rest stays put on my eyelid all day long without much problems. Didn't smear, streak, run, dissolve, or end up on my glasses (and I have eye allergies and very watery eyes so that's a big plus). Came off fairly easily with micellar water. I would suggest these but maybe buying in store will get your a fresher batch that isn't dried out and patchy.

I love the color and it glides on easily. I gave it a full minute in front of a small fan to dry, and continued with my make up routine. By 4 hours into a 12 hour shift, it was gone. Now I use caffeine eye cream on my upper eyelids but I smeared as much off as I could before applying this eyeshadow like eyeliner. I will try using it with no cream next time and see how it does. But if you use any kind of eye cream, this one is not good.

Great eye shadow stick.applies smoothly lasts until you remove. Best assortment of color choices. Very good product.

As someone who was recently diagnosed with rosacea (along with ocular rosacea), I bought multiple shades due to me having to toss out all of my beloved eyeshadows. Despite this line not having very many colours, I read all the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised to see this was non-comedogenic (meaning it will not clog your pores). After wearing this for a night out with my friends, even after accidentally sleeping in this eye makeup, I was VERY shocked to see that I did NOT break out around my eyes. Overall, this has been a great purchase and I genuinely hope that e.l.f. cosmetics decides to expand their shade range! 12/10 product. <3

Formula is fine but this color is awful it makes u look dead, maybe I totally misunderstood the assignment and picked the wrong color for my face but, this color reminds me of like, morgue makeup or smt. Not flattering. It’s not really dark it’s like, beige? It’s too light to create a shadow illusion over the eye but too dark to be a highlight. idk. I hate it.

Works just as good as the “high end” brands. Blendable and stays put. Great for waterline, too!!!

È molto morbida e facilmente sfumabile, da fare però in fretta perché si setta subito. Ottima per un make up super veloce e da tutti i giorni. Io la uso quotidianamente e non ne sono stufa per niente! Riacquisterò senz’altro!!

The Out of Sight is a pretty dark teal colour with good, intense pigment. Upon a first try, I found the stick shadow creamy and easy to apply. You have a few seconds to blend it as desired, then it dries and sets and is very resistant to smudging.

Muy buena pigmentación

Bellissima! Matitona super pastosa... io la metto nell'angolo dell'occhio o come base per intensificare l'ombretto. Essendo molto morbida si sfuma bene ma se non settata con polveri o primer, tende a sparire. Il colore lime mi piace un sacco, consigliata!

I bought this for work days when I want to flash on a quick, lightly smoky eye without the faff. This seems to do the trick, it’s a soft thick pencil and matt (as described). Originally gave less stars because I found it grainy when blending - however I realised after some time that it was wholly my technique and not the product. I now love this and it’s quick and easy, blends well and smoothly and I love it. Wears well and lasts all day. Generally a really good product so far and inexpensive too which is a bonus.
