Trangia Aluminum Kettle

Love this Trangia aluminum water kettle. It’s a nice size for two people to boil some water for tea, coffee or instant noodles. It has a nice tight fitting lid that remains cool if you grab it by the knob. It also has a nice stay cool handle, as it can be locked in the up position when boiling water, or in the down position if traveling or not in use. It’s quite light weight, and since it’s shape is quite squat and wide, you can put something inside it when not in use. The aluminum doesn’t seem to stain or get too discolored on the inside or outside. Soot seems to be easily wiped off. All in all a nicely well thought out design and build. We have used it nearly weekly since getting it and it is holding up very nicely. I do believe that there is a large size, but for us this is the perfect size for two people. And it is still actually Made in Sweden.

I bought this item, exclusively for my Trangia 27 cook set because I thought it came with the stove when I ordered here in Amazon. It's very nice when you have a kettle with your set and you're having tea coffee or hot apple cider in the middle of the afternoon in your local park after you ate lunch. it's just the right size for a kettle and it will contain 2 standard sized cups volume wise. It also fits nicely with the Trangia 27 and it's invaluable when you're camping or just need a hot beverage in the middle of the trail. Very light too I might add and Made in Sweden just like the cook set. I highly recommend this kettle for it's simple design and function.

I love this little tea pot! It holds about 2 cups of water and heats to boiling quickly, plus it fits perfectly in my Stanley lunchbox/cook set. I definitely recommend it as a lightweight, compact tea pot.

I picked up a trangia mess kit without the kettle and decided to be a completest and get the kettle as well. It's a small kettle, figure half a liter/2.5 cups when full, which is enough to rehydrate a meal or have a nice cup of tea/coffee. Is it needed? Well... err... no. Not really. Not unless you need to simmer the kettle for a while or something. My titanium cup works fine, my trangia bowls work fine, I have a dozen tools that replicate the kettle. But it's a little piece of civilization and kind of neat to have. I'll actually not take this packing I think, but instead keep it for car/teardrop trailer camping. It's far better suited for that. So 5 stars for quality of build, knock a star (or even two) off because it's not really necessary unless you're relying on just a trangia kit for all your cooking/water needs.

Quality is great for the price doesn’t feel cheap, has a great weight to it, and the handle folds down for easy storage! It fits perfectly in a Stanley metal lunch box for those looking for an on the go kettle!

Gewohnte Trangia-Qualität. Den Kessel kauft man wohl fürs Leben. Leicht und stabil. Der Griff rastet angenehm ein, wenn man ihn aufstellt und bleibt da auch, bis man ihn bewusst wieder einklagt. Haptisch vermittelt das eine guten Qualitätseindruck, auch durch die hochwertige Gummierung. Ich setze den Kessel bei Bedarf in meinem 27-Set ein, wo er hervorragend reinpasst. Den Spirituskocher und einige Kleinigkeiten kann man dann mit der üblichen Tüte in den Kessel stopfen. Prima Produkt.
