Is this suitable for leveling, out gravel thanks

Only if the gravel is 6mm or less but it would stil be hard work. Easier to use a rake.

Those 2 reviews got me skrewed, is it for sewing or sawing purposes? is it something like a builder would use?

It’s a builder’s tool ... typically used for plastering, where the long straight edge is handy for ensuring plaster boards, or bonding is flat (or level) when it’s added to a wall. In honesty, I use my feather edge for all sorts too ... it’s basically a very big ruler (this one is 4ft long ... you can get different sizes), so it’s great whenever you need a straight edge that can be relied upon.
